NEWS FROM NAMALAKA PRAYERS FOR OUR PASTORS

Let us pray for Fr. Saulos Chimbalanga, for guidance in his future assignment as he says goodbye to our Sister

Parish of St Joseph's parish in Namalaka, Malawi. Since being injured several months ago he has not returned

to his parish priest duties. He was not attacked as was previously thought, but was involved in an accident.

May he, and all our brothers and sisters there who are ill, be restored to health.

Let us pray for the new pastor assigned to St Joseph's- Fr. Davie Mambo - as he arrived the weekend of June 8

to take up his duties. Fr Davie has just returned to Malawi from Kenya where he was making further studies of

the Liturgy.

Lastly, let us pray for the community of St Joseph in Namalaka as they have struggled to carry on without a par-

ish priest for several months, that they will welcome Fr. Davie with open hearts and minds.

ous, truthful, beautifully written. The list goes on and on to describe The City

of Joy by Dominique Lapierre. This true story is of a priest who goes to live among the

poorest of the poor and how he adapted and what he learned. Come join us as we dis-

Every person’s finances

and family situation is dif-

ferent. Jesus makes it

clear that it matters not

how much one gives, but

that it is planned, calculat-

from what is “leftover” at

the end of the month. We
