where we toured Presque Isle
State Park. We stopped to walk
out on a beach to take photos
then drove to a restaurant in
Erie for lunch. We spent longer
than expected at Presque Isle so
we did not arrive at Stella Niag-
ara, NY until around 8:00 p.m.
Once we unpacked and checked
into our rooms it was time for

Our seven 8th graders,
Emma, Sophie,
Kirsten, Daphne, Sier-
ra, Jacob and Ryan
along with Chaperones
Kelly Mitchell, Alison
Fisher, Scott Richards,
Jaime Keffer, Sandra
Keffer, Erica Altier,
Jan Richardson, Sarah
Smallwood and Mike
Lollo left the SRCS
parking lot
around 9:00
a.m. Monday, May 14.
To reduce cost we trav-
eled in four vehicles.
We drove to Erie, PA
swimming at the indoor pool at
the Sisters of St. Francis Con-
vent. While the kids swam piz-
za was ordered from a local
pizza company who delivered.
The pizza arrived and we all ate
in the cafeteria then went to
bed.
Tuesday, May 15 we had break-
fast at the Center for Renewal
Conference Center cafeteria
at 8:30 a.m. The Center for
Renewal is adjacent to the con-
vent. Sister Therese joined us
at breakfast and invited us to
Mass in the Chapel. Then Sr.
Therese gave us a tour of the
convent. It was wonderful! We
learned that there is a grade
school at Stella Niagara with a
Montessori preschool program.
The school has 150 students.
Sr. Therese lead us on a tour of
the beautiful grounds after the
building tour. After the tour at
Stella we hopped in our vehi-
cles, stopped and had a nice, sit-
down lunch and headed for Ni-
agara Falls, NY to view the
U.S.A. side of the falls or Bridal
Vail Falls. We went on the Maid
of the Mist boat ride where we

4th Graders walked down to The Pizza Place for their field trip. They were able to tour the kitchen and make their own individual pizza. It was a chilling experience!

FISHER CATHOLIC: Takes
second place in the Mid State
League Cardinal Division
Track Championships recently.
SRCS alumni Elizabeth Vigue,
Abby Krile, Maeve Boley and
Gavin LeGrand were all part of
the team. All four are high
honor roll students at Fisher
Catholic High School. Eliza-
beth and Gavin have both
qualified for the Regionals. We
are very proud of all of you!
got quite wet as the boat takes you right up to Horseshoe Falls. It was
great.
After the boat ride we split up in order for those who wished to explore
Goat Island could do so and those who wished to go elsewhere could do
so. We did this for two or three hours then we met at our vehicles as we
had planned. We arrived back at Stella after a late dinner.
On Wednesday, May 16th, we again were met at breakfast by Sr.
Therese. A number of us followed her to morning Mass and we received
Holy Communion. We then boarded our vehicles to Our Lady of Fatima
Shrine located a short distance north of Stella Niagara. We could have
spent the entire day there, as well as, spending the entire day at our
next stop, Fort Niagara.
From Fort Niagara we returned to Stella, regrouped and headed back to
Niagara Falls but this time we went to the Canadian side. We parked on
the American Side and crossed to Canada on the walking bridge. Every-
one had a wonderful time experiencing the Canadian side of the Falls.
We walked back to the USA, got in our vehicles and drove to Historic
Lewiston, NY, two miles south of Stella. In Lewiston, we had our last sit
-down meal together. It was wonderful.
After dinner we returned to Stella. Some of us went straight to bed
while others stayed up and talked.
We departed around 9:00 a.m. for the return trip on May 17th. The
drive home took about six and a half hours. This is a trip I pray we will
take for countless years to come. Travelogue by Mike Lollo.
