While there is no promise of employment at the end of the project, the goals of the program are: (1) to provide exposure to - and understanding of - the entrepreneurial environment, (2) to add project skills, small/start-up company experience, and a current assignment to the program participants’ resumes, and (3) to help program participants build and enhance their networks and networking skills. With that context in mind:  The project(s) submitted should be clear in their scope, with an identified, specific project deliverable so that all parties will be clear in their expectations.  The project should take approximately 200 hours to complete (1/2 time during the ten weeks of the engagement) Working hours and arrangements should be clearly spelled out – and mutually agreeable to both the project sponsor and program participant  You, or your designated project contact, will provide appropriate “on boarding” (eg: education, introductions to teammates, company background) as needed, and will also provide appropriate mentoring and networking opportunities for program participant(s) Understand that project participants are not “temp” workers who will perform administrative duties. They are experienced professionals who are looking for a meaningful project in order to gain new skills, an understanding of a new industry, insights into the entrepreneurial world, and/or enhance their networks and networking skills. We are looking to you to help them achieve these goals through this project, and their interactions with you and your firm. While there is no remuneration for project work, you should consider a reasonable expectation of participants that they be reimbursed for all out-of-pocket expenses they incur in order to work with you. This includes, but is not limited to, transportation costs, printing costs, meetings expenses. NEW in JUMPSTART 6.0: Participation in a “speed matching” session is now mandatory. In order for your project to be considered and posted for our participants’ review, you MUST commit to join us for one of the following sessions: (Please indicate your selection below and hold the date on your calendar.)
