• Is working on the extension of JUMP II programme focusing on Manufacturing & Agro-Industry SMMEs

• Total budget: EURO 10,000,000

• The indicative operational implementation period of the project :48 months

Over all Objective:

Promoting and developing the internationalization of SMEs and enhancing market penetration.

Scheme priorities :

•Products and sectors with export potential•Firms demonstrating operational capacity for exporting•Actions leading to product adaptation/upgrading and certification

Scheme 2: Support to Export Development Including Certification and

Participation to Trade Missions and Trade Events

Duration of Action: between 1 and 12 monthsBudget indicatively available: EUR 700,000Max. grant per awarded company per the whole programme life: EUR 50,000JEDCO Grant Maximum Contribution:

•90% of the total eligible cost for companies outside the Greater Amman Municipality or women owned businesses.

•80% of the total eligible cost for companies inside the Greater Amman Municipality and not women owned businesses.

•For supply 80% (or 90%) of 60% of the equipment total eligible cost.

Scheme 2: Support to Export Development Including Certification and

Participation to Trade Missions and Trade Events

Scheme 2: Support to Export Development Including Certification and

Participation to Trade Missions and Trade Events

Who Can Apply?

In order for COMPANIES to be eligible for a grant, they must: Be a legal entity and Be a Manufacturing or an Agro-industry enterprise established in and Be created and registered at least for 2 years and Be registered at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) in Jordan and Number of employees: minimum 10 employees and maximum 250 (one year

preceding the date of the submission deadline) and Be 100% privately owned, and Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the proposed action Have a paid up capital more than JOD 10,000.

Scheme 2: Support to Export Development Including Certification and

Participation to Trade Missions and Trade Events

Over all Objective :

Promote the development of micro enterprises and start ups out side Amman and Zarqa municipalities contributing with the decentralization of economic activity.

Scheme priorities :

•Innovative Ideas in case of start ups•Integrated within existing value chains•Enhancing export readiness of the export oriented firms•Increasing competitiveness leading to large domestic market share•Introduction of new products•Employment creation , in particular high-skilled workers

Scheme 4: Support to Micro Enterprises and Start-up Companies

Start-up: A legal entity that has not been registered yetMicro Enterprise: Already registered company with a maximum of 9 employees

Duration of Action: between 1 and 12 months

Budget indicatively available for scheme 4 : EURO 3,000,000

Maximum grant per awarded company per the whole programme life : EUR 50,000

JEDCO Grant Maximum Contribution :

• 90% of total eligible cost (location of the action must take place outside Greater Amman Municipality and Zarqa Municipality) .

• For supply ( 90%) of 60% of the equipment total eligible cost.

Scheme 4: Support to Micro Enterprises and Start-up Companies

What Types of Action? All actions related to the business development plan; This includes but do not limit to the following examples:Acquisition of equipment and technologyIPR rights Access to FinanceDevelopment of capacity building such as:

• Enhancement of Productivity equipment • Acquisition of new technologies

Development of the Managerial capability building in different fields such as :•Marketing: Product and market development, Marketing and export promotion, Training to improve marketing efficiency and skills.•Production : Time analysis and productivity improvement , Production management , Training on managing, planning, Accounting and cost accounting systems

Research and studies of innovative and new sectors of business development.,Business development plan ,feasibility studies , ..etcMergers between Micro Enterprises

Scheme 4: Support to Micro Enterprises and Start-up Companies

Who Can Apply?

In order for Start-up Enterprise to be eligible for a grant, they must: Be a physical person and Be a Manufacturing or an Agro-industry enterprise to be established in Jordan and Be 100% privately owned, and Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the proposed action.

Scheme 4: Support to Micro Enterprises and Start-up Companies

Who Can Apply?

In order for Micro Enterprise to be eligible for a grant, they must: Be a legal entity and Be a Manufacturing or an Agro-industry enterprise established in Jordan and Be registered at the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) in Jordan and Number of employees: maximum 9 employees and Be 100% privately owned, and Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the proposed action. Have a paid up capital more than JOD 5,000.

Scheme 4: Support to Micro Enterprises and Start-up Companies

Over all Objective :

Support to the enhancement of firm-level competitiveness.

Scheme priorities:

•Incorporating new product or process technology, including automation.•franchising and licensing.•Development of new products•Introduction of environmental friendly technology•Increasing domestic market share and exports•Actions aimed at increasing productivity, value added and/or cost reduction.

Scheme 5: SMEs Reinforcements

Duration of Action: between 1 and 18 monthsBudget indicatively available for scheme 5 : EUR 2,700,000Minimum grant per company : EUR 10,000Maximum grant per awarded company per the whole programme life : EUR 100,000JEDCO Grant Maximum Contribution:

• 80% (90% for women owned & Companies outside of Amman) of total eligible cost • For supply 80% (or 90%) of 60% of the equipment total eligible cost.

Scheme 5: SMEs Reinforcements

What Types of Action?

For existing Enterprises Reinforcement, any proposed actions MUST be related to the business development plan; This includes but do not limit to the following examples:

Development of capacity building such as:• Enhancement of Productivity equipment • Acquisition of new technologies • Quality control, testing and research equipment • Maintenance and safety equipment. • CAM / CAD systems, automation, and robots.

Development of the Managerial capability building in different fields such as :• Marketing: Product and market development, Marketing and export promotion, Market research and marketing plan, Development of the corporate trade mark, Training to improve marketing efficiency and skills.

Scheme 5: SMEs Reinforcements

What Types of Action?•Production: Time analysis and productivity improvement, Production layout and

organization, Production management ,Quality management, Information technology, Cost analysis, Maintenance management, International conformity certificates such as the ISO 22000, HACCP, UL, and CE., Training on managing, planning, and improving production efficiency ..etc.

• Organization and human resources: Organization restructuring, Human resources, building, Training• Research and studies of innovative and new sectors of business development.• Mergers between companies• International partnership research and feasibility studies and analysis• Sub contracting of experts and/or utilizing of a business developer that can assist on:

Presentation materials (company information developed to support internationalisation plans, e.g. a brochure, website or CD-ROM/DVD),

Increasing knowledge and skills of staff by following a course on international business.. International patent, trademark or design registrations, trade-marks and/or designs.

- For companies more than 1 year: Financial Statements for the past 1 or 2 years, which include:The Balance Sheet The Income Statement The cash flow statementExplanatory notes for the above statements

- For companies less than 1 year a cash-flow forecastPaid up Capital for companies (Minimum JOD 10000) (not for association or start-ups). Can be proved by any of the following documents:The Ministry registration certificate, in case the registered capital is JOD 10000 or more.The certified Financial Statements mentioned above.Certified Social Security Corporation certificate (not for association or start-ups).
