Patient identifying information, such asnames, initials, hospital numbers or photographsshould not be included in the written descriptions.Patient consent should be obtained in written andarchived with the authors.

Protection of Human Subjects andAnimals in ResearchWhen conducting experiments on humansubjects, appropriate approval must have beenobtained by the relevant ethics committees. Allthe procedures must be performed in accordancewith the ethical standards of the responsible ethicscommittee both (institutional and national) onhuman experimentation and the HelsinkiDeclaration of 1964 (as revised in 2008). Whenreporting experiments on animals, authors mustfollow the institutional and national guidelines forthe care and use of laboratory animals.

Following guidelines must be followed beforesubmission of the manuscript:

The articles must represent original researchmaterial, should not have been published beforeand should not be under consideration ofpublication elsewhere. This, however, does notinclude previous publication in form of an abstractor as part of published literature (review or thesis).It is the duty of the author to obtain the necessarypermissions for extensive quotations, tables,illustrations or any other copyrighted material theyare using in the paper before a paper can beconsidered for publication. Since KANET scoring system was introduced to the scientific community in 2008, it has been applied in various clinicalstudies. The value of KANET in defining the status of fetal neurodevelopment could be demonstrated by the results of thesestudies. Ian Donald School together with Dubrovnik International University (DIU) will therefore offer individual training inKANET to promote the test.

The training consists of fifty hours theoretical and practical instruction, to enable interested obstetricians to independentlyperform antenatal assessment of fetal neurodevelopment by using KANET.
