July 20–Movie in the Ballpark at Greenvalley Sports Complex (5920 52nd Ave, Moline) 8-10 pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket & enjoy a screening of “The

Secret Life of Pets.” Donations accepted for park renovation, concessions available. $15.00

July 23-River Bandits Game at Modern Woodman Park (209 S. Gaines St, Davenport) 1:00-3:30 pm. The River Bandits take on the Whitecaps in this afternoon game. Concessions available. $26.00

July 18-Navy Pier. We’ll take the train to Downtown Chicago, enjoy the pier, visit the shops, have lunch, & see Lake Michigan. Located

in Chicago, IL. 7am-9pm $125

July 24**-Chicago Bears Training Camp. Watch the Chicago Bears prepare for their upcoming football season on the grounds of Olivet Nazarene University. Located in Bourbonnais, IL. 7am-5pm $88 This date is tentative as the official schedule has not been released.**

August 25-Chalk Art Fest in Downtown Davenport (2nd St. between Perry & Pershing) 4-6pm. Stroll through the

streets watching artists create magnificent works of art out of chalk before your very eyes. Concessions available. $15.00

August 31-Tour of WWII Landing Ship LST 325 at the Isle of Capri Marina (1777 Isle Pkwy, Bettendorf) 1-3 pm. The LST 325 has been restored to its original condition, & is the only fully operational WWII Landing Ship Tank in the US. $25.00

November 6-A Wrinkle In Time at Playcrafters Barn Theatre (4950 35th Ave, Moline) 6:30-10

pm. On a dark & stormy night, Meg beings a journey to rescue her father from the evil holding him light years away. Meg travels through time & space learning about life & love along the way. Concessions available. $26.00

November 15th-Festival of Trees at River Center (136 E 3rd St., Davenport) 9-11 am. This event features 150 displays, gingerbread vil-lage, gift shop, & reindeer games. $15.00

October 1-Tour of Isabel Bloom Studio & Factory (736 Federal St., Davenport)9:45-11:45 am. A 45 min

guided tour with behind the scenes access to every step in making an Isabel Bloom sculpture. Bring spending money if you wish. $15.00

October 13th-Games at Finn’s Funn Spot (527 2nd Ave W, Milan) 10am-1 pm. Enjoy unlimited play on pinball, arcade games, air hockey, boxing bots & more! Concessions available. $39.00

September 13-Thursday Night Groove Concert Series at Schwie-bert Riverfront Park (Riverfront

between 17th & 20th St, Rock Island) 7-9 pm. Bring your lawn chair & enjoy live music by Minus Six. Concessions available. $15.00

September 28– QC Balloon Festival at Rock Island County Fairgrounds (4200 Archer Dr, East Moline) 5-8 pm. Your chance to see hot air bal-loons up close! Balloons launch at 5:15 pm, & will glow at dusk while being tethered to the ground. Concessions available. $23.00

All events are open to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities who are 18 years of age or older. Individuals must be able to be independent in self-care, and able to travel in a staff to individual ratio of 1:5. Interested individuals who require more support/assistance than 1:5 should contact The Arc of the Quad Cities Area for more information.

The cost of each Community Event is listed in the corresponding event description. Transportation is not included. Special transportation arrangements are available for an additional charge. Reservation must be made at least 1 week prior to event.

The cost of each Day Trip is listed in the corresponding trip description. Payment for Day Trips due at time of registration. Price of trip includes admission. Meals not included unless stated. Reservation must be made 1 week prior to event. Day Trips range from 6-14 hours in length, generally leaving early or mid morning and returning in the evening. All Day Trips will depart from and return to The Arc Opportunity Center at 5101 52nd Ave., Moline, IL.

Trips may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, schedule changes by venue, & availability of event tickets.

All trips are being offered at a reduced rate to individuals without state or local funding thanks to a grant from the United Way of the Quad Cities Area.

August 4-Field of Dreams. Visit the Field of Dreams movie site & tour the baseball field and home. Located in

August 17-Hooked on Fishing . Learn how to fish & then give it a try. All fishing is catch & release, all supplies are provided. Located in East Peoria, IL. 8am-2pm $72

September 9-Iowa Greyhound Park. Watch live greyhound races at the only

greyhound track in Iowa. Located in Dubuque. 11am-6pm $59

September 19--Wheels O’ Time Museum. This museum is features antique cars, trains, planes, tools, toys, clocks, & clothes. Located in Dunlap, IL. 10:30am-5:30pm $64

October 6-Tri State’s Largest Chili Cook-off & Fenelon Elevator. Sample various chili recipes, & go

for a ride in the shortest, steepest elevator ride in the world. Located in Dubuque, IA. 11am-6pm $63

October 17-Day in LeClaire. Visit the Buffalo Bill Museum, tour the Mississippi River Distilling Comp, shop at Antique Archaeology, Aunt Hattie's Fanciful Emporium, & more. Located in LeClaire. 9am-3pm $49

November 3– Museums in Rockford. The Burpee Museum of Natural History

contains a young T-Rex skeleton, a rooftop garden, a woolly mammoth skeletal cast, & a coal forest with simulated thunderstorms, & more. The Rockford Art Museum features a diverse collection of modern & contemporary art. Located in Rockford, IL. 8am-4pm $77

November 28-Festival of Lights. Drive through Christmas Light Display featuring the Star Trek Enterprise, the Bat Mobile & a 160-ft steam locomotive with 65,000 lights. Located in East Peoria, IL 4pm-10pm $54

December 14-Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium. This museum features the culture,

creatures & history of the Mississippi & all our nation's rivers through dynamic exhibits & 12 large aquariums. Located in Dubuque, IA. 9am-5pm $78

December 22-Coral Ridge Mall. Finish your last minute Holiday shopping at the Coral Ridge Mall which has over 100 specialty shops & plenty of dining options. 9am-4pm $59
