Be diligent to present yourselves approved to God as a workman who does not need to

be ashamed, handling accurately the Word o truth .

The word encourages us to be diligent in the Word o God and likens us to a

workmen. It’s so important that we are building our lies continually upon God’s

Word. Job said: I hae esteemed the words o your mouth (God’s) more necessary

than ood. Now there’s a challenge or us all. Job has basically reminded us that

God’s Word comes een beore our next meal o importance. I we are going to

grow as Christians we must become, on an increasing basis, students o the Word

o God.

I loe the words o C.S Lewis when he talked about haing aith and confdence

when you study God’s Word. He said it ’s not a question o learning a subject, it’s

about steeping ourseles in a personality. Our primary purpose or reading God’s

Word and mediating on it is to meet with Jesus. It is in this place that the process

o orming Him within us continues to take place.

2 Timothy 3:16 says “All scripture is inspired by God and proftable or teaching, or reproo and or correction, or training in righteousness, that the man o God

may be adequate, equipped or every good work.” Let’s be a people diligent to make time or the Word o God. Be courageous

enough to say ‘no’ to something that may currently be in the way o you spending

time in God’s Word. God wants to speak to you and bring light and lie to you. It’s

all a part o His greater plan that you may truly know Him. He also wants us to

know His ways and be prepared or eery good work that He has or us.
