From the Membership Director

Since Summer is officially here, I thought it would be a great timeto review some guidelines for those long summer days andnights around the Resort. We appreciate your cooperation andadherence to these simple requests:

• Vinoy Club Photo ID's - Having a photo ID card is mandatory! Please make sure to carry your photo ID card with you at alltimes. Our staff will be asking to see it for identification andcharging purposes. If you do not have a photo ID yet, please besure to stop by the Vinoy Club Office to get this taken care of assoon as possible. The office is open between 8:00 am - 6:00 pmMonday through Friday and on some Saturdays by appointment.Just give us a quick call to let us know you are coming. If youprefer to email us your photo, we would be happy to print andmail your card to you.

• Resort and Sunset Pools - Keep in mind that we do not havelifeguards or childcare at either of our pools. Teach your childrenabout water safety and be sure to keep an eye on them at alltimes. Drowning is one of the top causes of death for children inFlorida, and it only takes a tragic minute or two.

• Friday Night Pool Movie Nights - As you know, we providecomplimentary Movie Night on Fridays at sundown. It's always agreat "family bonding time"; however, please be sure that childrenare accompanied by an adult when at the pool (and/or anywhere at the resort or golf club as well). Of course, guest fees apply as usual.

• Teenagers hanging around the club facilities - Pleaseadvise your children that they should not be loitering around theclub and resort facilities. We have seen an increase of teenshanging out in the parking lots, lobby and halls of the property. Please note that security will advise them to leave the premiseswhen this takes place.

Travel safely if you are heading out of town on vacation. But whenyou are in town, please enjoy a fabulously "COOL" summer asyou take advantage of all the amenities that the best club in townhas to offer!

We'll see you around the Club!

School is Out and it’s time to CELEBRATE!

These bands come in a variety of resistancesdepending on your fitness level so anyone can use them. Youcan do pretty much any strength training exercise you typicallywould do with weights such as chest press, rows, shoulderpresses, tricep extensions, bicep curls, and squats. For tennisplayers, using bands are a great way to add strength and defini-tion without the muscle mass. You will often see tennis playersusing bands to warm up and get loose before match play. Giveresistance bands a try in the gym or pick one up for yourself tokeep around the house or in your tennis bag. You will seeresults on and off the tennis court.
