St. Elizabeth Seton Parish is a loving, welcoming community of

The Knights of Columbus “Building the Domestic
Church” series presents some of the most popular
Catholic Information Service resources aimed at help-
ing us to live out the Church's mission and vision for
our families. Series topics include parenting, father-
hood and family prayer life, as well as two of St.
John Paul II's famous messages for the family - Letter
to Families and The Family in the Modern World.
The FREE booklets are now available in the Narthex.
PARISH NURSE PROGRAMS
The Parish Nurse Programs at St. Elizabeth Seton will not be held during the
months of July & August. If you need to have your blood pressure checked, please
feel free to go the Parish Nurse Main office at 107 Alsace St. in Manchester at the Parish of the Transfiguration. Please call their office at 663-8004 for the hours they are open Tuesday
through Thursday.

The Diocese of Manchester is seeking part time
presenters and part time hospitality coordinators
for our Engaged Couples Weekends in the
following regions: The Seacoast area, Greater
Manchester/Nashua area, Western N.H., and
Northern N.H. areas. These positions will
collaborate to lead positive, formative weekend
experiences for engaged coupes based on
Ascension Press’ Joy-Filled Marriage program..
These workshops will take place on various
weekends throughout the year. Couples married
at least five years are encouraged to apply.
Training will be offered for these openings. If you

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is
extended, without obligation, to any interested
adult.
The RCIA process, which begins in the fall, is a
process that invites people whose journey of faith has
led them to learn about the Catholic Church’s beliefs
and practices. Who else should come?

Persons baptized in a different religion who would
like to become Catholic

The Knights of Columbus Council # 12988 of St Elizabeth Seton Parish is sponsoring a blood drive to assist the
American Red Cross in maintaining a supply of blood. The Blood Drive will be held in the St. Elizabeth Seton
Parish Activity Center on Friday, August 9th from 2:00pm – 7:00pm.
Basic Eligibility Requirements Most healthy adults can give blood through the American Red Cross. You meet the basic eligibility requirements
if you:
are at least 17 years old
weigh at least 110 pounds
are in good health on the day of donation
have no history of exposure to hepatitis or AIDS
your last blood donation was at least 56 days (8 weeks) ago
It is recommended that donors schedule their appointments rather than walking-in by either visiting the Red Cross
web site at www.redcrossblood.org, clicking on “Enter Sponsor Code”, entering sponsor code 8088, and follow-
ing the site’s instructions; or, by calling 1-800-448-3543.

Service Opportunities for Adults/Families
Café 1269 St. Elizabeth Seton Parishioners have been
preparing, delivering, and serving a meal on
the 2nd Sunday of each month to Café 1269 in
Manchester. Do you and/or your family have a couple of
hours on the 2nd Sunday of the month? OR you don't have
time, but want to be part of this outreach program by do-
nating food or money. You can find links to sign up at

New Horizons A soup kitchen and homeless shelter in Man-
chester is looking for help on the 2nd and 4th
Sundays of the month. Needed: People willing to pick up
surplus food from Trader Joes and deliver to New Hori-
zons between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. To get involved,
please contact the Parish Office at 669-7444or find a link
to sign up on our parish website at

New Horizon’s also receives five shipments from area
supermarkets and needs lots of help sorting food and
making boxes for distribution. Mondays, 8:30-11:30.
Please contact pantry manager Jackie at: 289-1220 or
St. Raphaels’ Food Pantry Stock Shelves & help distribute food to clients. Monday,
July 29th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. To sign up find a link on

Bedford Garden Club MUM Sale Order your mums by Aug 27, 2019. Pick-up Thursday, September 5th 1:00 - 6:00 pm at Bedford Village
Common, 15 Bell Hill Road, Bedford.
Order by August 27th for the best selection and early pick up after 1:00pm on
September 5th.
Our beautiful 8-inch potted mums, pro-duced by a New Hampshire grower, are
priced at $7.50 each or 3 for $21.00 ($7.00 each for three or more plants). Proceeds
from this event help to support the club’s educational programs, provide for holiday wreaths at public buildings, and maintain
the club’s 8 community gardens located throughout Bedford.
