GOOD SHEPHERD ADORATION CHAPEL REOPENED 13
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It has been great being able to gather over the last several weeks. There is no doubt
things have been different and some of us may have found the adjustments challenging.
Although we have had to adjust to what might seem to be a new normal for some time,
we must always rejoice for we are able to gather together as a family of faith and are
able to receive the grace of the Sacraments, especially the Most Holy Eucharist.
We are now scheduling Confirmations, First Holy Communions, and administering
the Sacrament of Initiation. For Confirmation and First Holy Communions families
have the choice to receive as a group or receive individually at any scheduled Mass of
their choice. Bishop Gainer has extended the faculty to confirm to all pastors through
December 31st of this year. I want to thank our families for their patience during this
time. We recognize that none of this is ideal, but this was the hand we have been dealt.
Looking towards the fall we do not know quite yet what lies ahead. In regards to
Religious Education we are looking towards our schools for guidance. It is quite possi-
ble that we will have a mixture of in class and online learning. We are currently look-
ing at options there right now.
Finally beginning in September the weekend following Labor Day we will begin a
new liturgical schedule. Moving forward we will have a summer schedule that will run
from Memorial Day thru Labor Day weekends and a schedule that will run throughout
the school year. This is to allow more time in between Masses and some more time for
Religious Education. You will find the schedule on the next page!
Thank you for your patience and support over the past couple months. As we move
forward together in faith, we will find ways to come together to grow closer to the Lord
and with each other as a family of faith!
Sincerely, Fr. Carroll
