Hello Lions! I can’t believe that it is already summer break – the last part of the year went by so quickly! As the summer goes through it’s duration, we hopefully will have many division bonding activities (aka a bonfire, etc.), many service activities, and we will make many memories. I was blessed to have attended ICON in June – I thank all who have helped to pay some of that cost. I learned a lot and brought it back with me so that we can improve the division. As a final word, my goal is to improve club membership in the next school year – try to recruit people! Have a good summer! In Love and Service, Ryan McLaughlin

ICON 2015I had the wonderful opportunity (thanks to you) to travel to Indianapolis to participate in the Key Club International Convention. I learned so much over a wide range of topics, including how to keep members. I was inspired in so many ways, met so many people, and discovered how big Key club and Kiwanis truly are. Happy 100th Kiwanis and 90th Key Club!

The Eliminate Project

Back when Kiwanis began the Eliminate Project, they pledged 110 million dollars – as of today, they sit at around 91 million! Key Club has raised over 4 million in that time, and at ICON, we pledged another $3 million, making KCI donate a total of around $7 million dollars, which equals to 3,888,888 mothers and their future and current children how can live because they were vaccinated for MNT. For our division, I make a goal to raise $3,000 dollars over the next year – this would mean we could save at least 1,666 lives! Lets go Lions! 10

Preferred Charities

This months preferred charity is UNICEF. UNICEF is a world wide organization that strives to make the world better. For Key Clubbers, this is seen in the Eliminate Project. This project’s goal is to eliminate MNT from the world. Kiwanis, Key club International, and UNICEF have had a long history, and have a promising future.
