Norah Gaughan: Camber & Careen Choose one of these two designs from Norah Gaughan Volume 14. Camber is the cardie, worked in silk rich Fuji. Careen is the pullover worked in Linus, a new Berroco tape yarn with a hint of linen. The cardie has a straight, more fit-ted silhouette. The pullover is less fitted and flares at the sides. Both designs use a large diamond shaped panel of figure flattering diagonal lace on the front and back.

Trapeze Sweater Brooke Nico is a prolific lace designer. We are especially enjoying her Trapeze Sweater that appeared in Knitter’s magazine. This top down raglan swing shape is a formula that flatters most women. The simple lace creates a fluid fabric that will remind you of luxurious garments by Eileen Fisher.

Aran Christmas Stocking

Think Christmas in July and get a jump on that all important task of creating a Christmas stocking well before the holiday rush. Designer, Gwen Steege, uses stag horn and coin cables to bring Gaelic charm to your holiday. This class is perfect for people with previous cable knitting experience and / or sock knitting experience.

Racing Raindrops or Bias Beaded Wrap or ScarfDebbie has inspired us by making multiple versions of these two great pieces from the people at Churchmouse yarns. Both designs are embellished with beads, which add a bit of weight and sparkle to these lightweight scarves and wraps.

Your piece will need aggressive blocking with wires, pins and a steam iron to look its best. Debbie will guide you through this process using our blocking equipment at the shop.

Crochet Hankie

BJ’s original hankie edging designs are perfect for intermediate level crocheters looking for a challenge. You’ll work with a size 1.25 mm hook and size 20 cordonet cotton thread to embellish the edge of a cotton hankie blank. Advanced beginners that have not yet worked with such fine thread can choose to work an equally lovely, but easier introductory hankie edging instead. This class will be the Daisy-Shell Edging Handkerchief.

WillowherbIt’s hard to resist the sweetness of this little girl’s dress embellished with two rows of knitted in flowers. It’s worked in Modern Cotton, a new Berroco yarn blend of cotton and rayon. It will be a quick knit in sizes 3 months to 18 months.

Beaded Scarf

Groups of beads hang in graceful swags to form the scalloped edges of this dressy scarf. Heidi will show you how to quickly transfer the beads to your knitting yarn and how to manage knitting with yarn strung with beads. You will meet two days in a row to get a good start on your piece, and then arrange a meeting with Heidi at a later date for the finishing details.
