I am excited to bring you another publication of Mint Issue.

This Mint Issue showcases some of the Mint’s most popular products and gives our valued customers more opportunities to secure some favourites before they sell out.

In addition to these beautiful products Mint Issue number 62 features the July release of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Coins. This is the second set of 50c sports coins in the M2006 Uncirculated Coin Collection. Don’t miss another opportunity to sign up for the complete 50c M2006 Uncirculated Coin Collection and enter the Royal Australian Mint and Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Ticket Competition.

The Rare Birds Gold Series coin for 2005 - The Malleefowl is now available. Malleefowls are a tough Australian bird threatened by introduced animals like foxes and cats and increases in land clearance. Malleefowl chicks look after themselves from the moment they hatch, and can fl y within 24 hours. Their hatching process requires constant monitoring by the parent birds who, quite amazingly, maintain the precise temperature of 33c needed to hatch the eggs. You still have time to secure its 2004 partner the Cassowary.

Many products not featured in this month’s Mint Issue can still be found on the order form enclosed. You can view and order all available products in our range at www.ramint.gov.au.

I hope you enjoy this rather selective Mint Issue for July and look forward to a bumper Mint Issue in September and our Christmas specials around the corner in November.
