During our Family Worship Service, our Nursery is fully staffed to care for children from birth through 3 years old. Kids from PreK through Grade 5 will be dismissed for Little Eden Kids’ Church during the service. Parents can pick them up in room 4 after Family Worship. Visit the Welcome Center to register your child prior to the service.

We have a community bulletin board! It is located in the hallway near the kitchen. This board offers space for YOU to post items for sale, properties for rent, job openings, etc. Feel free to post what you like. All posts should be dated and will remain on the board at the discretion of the church office. Don’t forget to take a look. You just might find what you’ve been looking for all along!

SPUD Fundraiser TODAY – Plan now to stick around for the Connect Student Ministries’ “Spud Day”. From 10a-12:30p when you’ll enjoy a potato bar with all the toppings you could imagine. All proceeds go to support the middle & high school students of BVMC.
VBS Paint & Create! TODAY @ noon. We need your hands to help paint some decorations and prep some crafts for VBS. No experience necessary!
TONIGHT @ 6p – Get in on the stories of fun, excitement, and spiritual growth as our youth tell about their recent trip to Phoenix, AZ for the Mennonite Youth Convention.
Money Talks: What Are You Hearing? The sequel to last year’s successful Everence video contest is officially under way. This year’s theme is “Money Talks: What Are You Hearing?” You’re encouraged to share the news about it with families & friends. The contest is open to anyone from 15 to 25 years. You can get the details – including a list of prizes, rules, & how to enter – at Everence.com/moneytalks.
There will be NO “Lunch with Pastor Roger” in the month of July. He will resume the regular schedule of 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 11:45a at Der Dutchman in August. Take the person to your left to lunch on those days!
Clean Up at Queena Phu’s Saturday, July 27 a team will be heading to Brandon for a workday at the home of Queena Phu. We will be doing yard work & clean up around the house. Please sign up at the Welcome Center. We will meet in the church parking lot at 7a. to car pool. Here is another opportunity to express love to the Phu family and to Christ.
Suncoast Community Blood Bank… Save a Life. Donate Blood - The Blood Mobile will be here at BVMC Wednesday, Aug 7th 4-8p. Sign up at the Welcome Center or call the church office for a convenient appointment, or simply show up Wednesday between 4-8pm.

Prevent Falls – For men & women who want to prevent falls. Come join us here at church on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:15pm in the overflow area for free education & movement training using balance, strength, & flexibility exercise designed to reduce the risk of falling. Our leaders have been trained by Senior Friendship Centers’ Falls Prevention Initiatives. Please wear walking shoes, bring water to drink & 2-pound hand weights (or borrow ours). It’s more than exercise!! Thank you to our trained leaders: Alice Bontrager, Faye Litwiller, Maietta Moshier, & Esther Tyson. Thank you for the prayers, flowers, visits, & kindness shown to my mother, Elva Raber, through her surgery & then her going home to be with her Lord & savior. Thank you to Pastor Roger & those who participated in her celebration of life service. And to Mom’s “daughters” from the kitchen committee, for the delicious lunch that was served. ~ Karen Erb & family

Church Mailboxes – Mailboxes are located in the hallway near the kitchen. If you haven’t had one assigned to you, please submit a request via a Communication Card or by contacting the church office. In addition to email, mailboxes are a great way to receive church information. Mailboxes are FOR ALL who attend BVMC.
OneConcert – Just 3 weeks away - Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 7p. OneConcert is an extreme worship event held by area worship musicians from different churches to encourage unity of faith through regular experiences of worshiping together. We gather as One Body with One Spirit to give One Concert of praise to our One Lord with our One Faith. Look for the event on our Facebook page & invite your friends today!

Edna Beachy continues to recover from surgery last Thursday.
Betty Ebersole is currently undergoing an evaluation to determine further treatment for a heart condition.
Dave Kniss is recovering nicely from a second back surgery on 7/6.

Worldwide Christians & Missionaries Please for the Middle East which is on fire. Pray for the Christians there. Christians are being martyred in Egypt and three Christians were beheaded in Syria last week.
New Reasons for Hope for Timothy Kane - Ron Miller reports that there are new hopes arising for clemency for Tim Kane who has been incarcerated for 21 years for a crime he didn't commit. Several top officers have met with Tim recently, and are working to make contact with the victims' families. This is a necessary step in the process. Be in prayer for the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Corrections (DOC), Timothy Cannon, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Re-Entry, Kris Southerland, the top officer at the DOC, Michael Crews, and Governor Scott as they continue to work on Tim's case. And continue to pray for Tim; he is feeling very encouraged. More information about Tim can be found at the bulletin board in the back of the church.

July 14, 2013 @ 10:30a Welcome! Make yourself at home. We’ll be here a little more than an hour. We pray. We sing. We take an offering to bless others. Kids will be dismissed for Kids Church just prior to the message. Parents can pick them up in room 4 after the service.

We still need: 100 Men’s white tube socks (no gray heels/toes)
10 Big bags of uncooked rice
10 Bottles of school glue
400 Cheap plain white paper plates (dinner size)
Pink & brown construction paper
400 Cheap plastic white forks
200 Small buttons (1/2”; preferably the flat kind; no white)
100 Googlie eyes (about 5/8”; we can’t have VBS without googlie eyes!)
5/8” Cloth ribbon in festive colors (lots of it!)
200 gold star stickers (1” diameter would be great!)
Green pool noodles (they are $1.18 ea at Walmart; the more the merrier. These will be turned into candy canes. Doesn’t that sound fun?)
120 Magnets (got old magnets on your fridge? Pull off the décor and bring in the magnets.)
LOTS of miscellaneous Christmas stickers
5 Cheap white table covers (it would be great if they arrived at BVMC already cut into strips about 2” wide. These will get wrapped around the noodles to make the candy cane stripes.)
