Work is characterised by an enquiry into narra.ve forms, o\en arising from shared experience. JF has been awarded by The Arts Council (bursary 2020) Cavan and Wex- ford County Councils and by Cork City Council!s Arts in Context Awards (2007, 2010, 2013, 2014) and she has been commis- sioned by the Department of Educa.on and Science to make par- .cipatory public artworks under the Per cent for Art Scheme (2008, 2009). JF has a socially engaged prac.ce, working collabo- ra.vely with people across a spectrum of contexts, from Youth and Community to Health and Edu- ca.on. Much of JF!s work "in context! is residency based, and since 2000 she has collaborated with children and teachers on residencies with Kids’ Own Publishing Partnership since 2000, and with the Design and Cra\s Council of Ireland since 2010. JF is an Educa.on Panellist with numerous arts organisa.ons, and works regularly with the Crawford Art Gallery, where she delivers programmes in response to artworks and exhibi.ons, o\en working collabora.vely with other specialists on the educa.on team. JF has exhibited across Ireland and her collabora.ve projects have been selected for exhibi.on at The Irish Museum of Modern Art and The Na.onal Museum of Ireland and The Ark. JF was Ar.s.c Director of ArtTrail Cork, Responsible for the overall cura.on and management of an Interna.onally acclaimed site- specific Fes.val involving 80 ar.sts, exhibi.ons, live events and works across mul.ple venues in Cork City . She was Co-Curator and Produc.on manager of SOUNDWORKS, a site specific event in Cork involving 50 ar.sts by invita.on and interna.onal call- out. JF is Garda veOed and is a Member of VAI since 2000.
