Transportation
Las Vegas is a compact city, and transportation
options are numerous and varied. Choose
from personal vehicles to hopping on a city
bus, taking a cab or riding the Las Vegas
Monorail. Las Vegas has one of the most
modern transportation systems in the world.
The city is laid out in a grid format, and easy to
navigate. 79% of Clark County workers drove
to work alone in 2005, 12 % carpooled, 3%
took public transportation and 4% used other
means. The remaining 2% worked at home. It
took those who commuted an average of 24
minutes to get to work.
Public bus transportation in Las Vegas is
operated by Citizens Area Transit (CAT).
There are numerous bus routes throughout the
area; a one-way fare on the Strip costs $3, and
slightly less in the rest of the city. Buses on the
Strip run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
For the latest information and scheduling, call
CAT-RIDE at 702-228-7433, or visit the CAT
Web site. www.rtcsouthernnevada.com
The Las Vegas Monorail travels along the east
side of The Strip (Sahara Ave. to MGM Grand)
behind the resorts and runs 7 days per week.
For more information on stops and prices,

Considering that much of the city was undeveloped desert not too long
ago, it should be no surprise that everything in Las Vegas seems new.
Schools, shopping centers, roads, parks, apartments, home rentals and
community sub-divisions all have a very clean and modern feel. And
as the development continues Las Vegas has emerged as a city that is
constantly re-inventing itself. There are abundant housing developments
to choose houses and apartments from.

you enjoy, than assisted living is an option for you. It provides a home in which your medical as
well as general clean needs are managed for you.

rivate Schools and Higher EducationPPRIVATE SCHOOLS
Private schools, known as independent schools, are not
administered by local, state or national governments;
thus, they retain the right to select their students and are
funded in whole or in part by charging their students
tuition, rather than relying on public (state) funds.
Besides the excellent public school system, Las Vegas
private schools provides a wealth of knowledge to the
expanding youth population. Las Vegas is contained
within the tenth largest school district in the United
States. Also, Las Vegas has more than 200+ public
schools.
