As I write this message, we’ve
just enjoyed another very
successful course with Gordon
Smith and his assistant tutor,
Steven Levitt.
This was Module 2 in Gordon’s
Foundation Course of his
College of Intuitive Studies.
The next module takes place in
September, however, these
classes are closed, as they are
part of an ongoing programme
of study, but we’ll be releasing
dates for next year soon, for a
new intake of students who
wish to embark upon this
Foundation Programme.
We will shortly be welcoming
back international mediums,
Tony Stockwell and James Van
Praagh, to The Centre. It is
always a pleasure to have
them with us. They are, ever
popular and so there are only
a few spaces left on their
workshop, so if you want to
experience the teachings of
not one, but two international
mediums, working together,
then grab these last few
spaces!
Most of our Developement
Classes, Wednesday Demon-
stration and Wednesday
Healing will stop for the
summer and reconvene in
September, as does our
Tuesday Talks . Meanwhile,
we’ll be hosting a number of
events at The Edinburgh Inter-
national Festival Fringe; a talk
on The Great Lafayette; our
next Open Day on 6th Sept, and
what I’m most pleased about,
we’ve just been accepted as
part of the Edinburgh Doors
Open Day, so we’ll be preparing
to welcome members of the
public in then, for a free tour of
our magnificent building!
I hope you’ll come along to
some of these new and exciting
events. In the meantime have
a good Summer and I look
forward to seeing you back in
The Centre, soon.

Kathryn is a Minister of the SNU, serving Churches throughout the UK as a Speaker and Demonstrator. Kathryn also holds workshops both
in the UK and abroad. As well as tutoring healing at the Arthur Findlay College during SNU Healing Weeks. She has developed various
aspects of mediumship including the deeper states of spirit control and has continued to develop Altered State
Healing, sometimes called Trance Healing, as well as Cain Healing.
Building on her successful trance mediumship workshop here, last year, Kathryn will be further exploring trance
and the altered states as she supports and encourages delegates to that deeper connection with the spirit
realm. This workshop aims to introduce and guide students in working in these altered states so that their own
connection with spirit becomes more tangible for themselves and others to witness.
Because of the nature of this work, numbers will be strictly limited. 10am - 5pm

Edinburgh Open Doors is organised by The Cockburn Association (The Edinburgh Civic Trust). Edinburgh Open Doors is part of European
Heritage Days, where building owners across Europe open their doors for two days and give FREE public access.
The Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre is a large Victorian Mansion, built in 1881. With curved bay window integrated with a Roman Doric panel.
The outstanding feature of this property lies in its interior which is half-filled by a massive stair-hall with an engraved glass dome on
pendatives and ornate Baroque door cases. The tall French roof was added in 1886.
Interestingly, it was the home of William McEwan, of The Fountain Brewery, who later gifted The McEwan Hall to Edinburgh University as their
graduation hall. We aim to provide a ‘storyboard’ of information telling the history of the building from being purchased initially by William
McEwan, to being opened in 1985 by Sir Yehudi Menuhin as the Music School of St Mary’s Cathedral.
William McEwan was also the MP for the Edinburgh Central constituency whilst he lived here. When he retired from politics, Arthur Conan
Doyle stood for the vacated seat and although made a good showing at the ballot box, unfortunately didn’t return enough votes to win the
seat.
