SIM USA DAILY PRAYER GUIDE

A Cup of Clean Water“…’I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these

brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’” (Matthew 25:40 HCSB)

We are called to carry on Jesus’ legacy of care and compassion, accom-

plishing amazing things in His name. By operating hospitals and clinics,

by addressing poverty through microfi nance, by rescuing women from

the sex trade and helping people eff ect positive change in their villages,

SIM responds to need in hundreds of ways. We do this because it’s the

right thing to do and because it’s how Jesus ministered to the lost and

suff ering. As you pray for our ministries and missionaries in July and

August, you are joining Jesus’ work, using “a cup of clean water” to meet

not only human need, but also spiritual needs that only He can meet.

Thank you for joining us as we respond to need, by prayer.

EcuadorPraise God for helping Lindsay and Eva Gilliam grow

Ministry Focus“We built a road for the drilling equipment,” the villagers said,

when we asked about their involvement in a borehole project

four years earlier. Saturdays of back-breaking work paid off ;

they no longer struggle to fi nd water. Their children’s health

has greatly improved, and the new road gets produce to

market more easily. Because they were so involved from the

start, they’ve also maintained it, saying, “We really thank

God; the borehole unites us….” —from Angie Boehmer, Nigeria

Ministry FocusMany refugees are coming to Germany, and we lead others

in ministering to their needs. One day a young Somali came

to our town. He asked the fi rst German he met for a Somali

was involved in the revision of the Somali Bible in Kenya!

Within 24 hours, Martin fulfi lled this request. Now we are
