Our StoryWelcome to Das Dutchman Essenhaus! We are a family restaurant with a

varied menu and a unique atmosphere for local guests as well as visitors from other states and many foreign countries. We moved to Middlebury from Sugarcreek, Ohio, purchased the small Curve Inn restaurant and reopened it in 1971 as Das Dutchman Essenhaus.

Much has changed since then and we look back over the busy growing years with a sense of joy and gratitude for dreams that have been fulfilled. We give thanks to you, our guests, to our employees, and most of all to God, our Creator, Sustainer and Hope for the future! May your time with us be pleasant and enjoyable. ~ Bob & Sue Miller
