JBT – The JBT group s disbanded and car
retired. Car going up for sale & profits from
sale to be donated to Wounded Warriors
Project. Last month’s Raffle & Pot proceeds
were given back and credited to the February’s
50/50 Raffle .
History – Sandy Mendia/ Jim Powers.
Jim gave a presentation on the Famoso
March Meet and its importance in the sport of
Drag Racing. Started in 1959 by the
Smokers Car Club.
Picnic Committee – Steve O’Brien Picnic

2018 at Flood Park (Menlo Park, CA) a
Easy Parking & Access.
Car Show Committee – Fred Seib Pacific
Coast Dream Machine, Half Moon Bay
Airport, will be on Sunday, April 29. Will
have a Juggers Pot Luck – so if attending
bring a dish to share.
Juggers Club Wear – Eddie Kucker
Unfortunately, Eddie was not in attendance
due to an upcoming NEW VALVE JOB!!!

Sonoma February 27 & 28 Weezel dialed an 8.80 and RAN a 8.80 and unfortunately, lost on a hole shot.
Reminder that the plaquing at the Grove at Famoso Raceway will take place on Saturday during the March
Meet.

SONOMA RACEWAY - Celebration of Jim McCombe's life.

This is Lynette McCombe (Jim McCombe’s other half). We cancelled the
celebration for Jim March 3rd as his sister-in-law was very sick. I am so glad
that we did as she passed away March 3rd.
We are going to a have the celebration Saturday April 14th at Sonoma Raceway
after the Saturday race. Party will start about 6 pm. Hope everyone will come
and help us celebrate his life. Thank you, Lynette
TRACK TALK – Word is that most Juggers no longer carry a condom in their wallets…. Instead they carry an extra hearing aid battery, for “just in case”!! Juggers Wear can be seen with the strangest things.
2018 MARCH MEET – Memorial Grove FAMOSO, CA
We had over 40 Juggers at the March Meet. In spite of the rain, most everyone showed up at the Juggers’ Memorial Tree in The Grove. Unfortunately, we had 4 Juggers to add to the post this year. It was great to hear all the great words about Jim Hensel, Mike Talcott, Larry Risso and Willie Thoits. Rest In Peace Juggers... we will remember and love you forever. SANTA CLARA CORVETTE - AUTO CROSS DateS: Apr 28 - Apr 29, 2018; Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: COW PALACE, Daly City South Parking Lot
Experienced in autocross, that is. We’ll set up a course using orange traffic cones, and you’ll get to drive around the course as fast as you can — one at a time. Very safe, nothing to run into (except plastic cones). Corvettes are very good at autocross. Come experience yours.

Miscellaneous Correspondences, Classifies; and Other Stuff: Chili Bob Lowenstein would like to express his sincere thanks
and gratitude to Gary Ryan, Steve & Martha O’Brien, Sandy &
Keith Mendia for keeping him feed and watered and more
important, kept warm at the track during the March Meet. He
would also like to send his thanks to Paul & Tom for the laughs
and great time.
Per Ed Burgess as of March 9th, Rudy Perez is still at Santa Clara Kaiser Hospital. Get well
soon RUDY.
Also, our club wear Guru, Smokem’ Eddie Kucker, also went in for a new valve job. All
went well, but now is that crappy part while being in the Repair Shop… not getting any sleep
due to be prodded every five minutes for tests and walking down the hallway with your ass
end showing for all to see. Prayer to both Rudy and Eddie and especially to their caregivers
for a quick recovery!
Heard through the grape vine that Jim and Diane Laing have a new addition to their family.
A 52 pound baby girl that they rescued. Congratulations!!!! E-mail correspondence from Dema Elgin Evelyn is Kent Fullers wife. Lots of Fuller chassis at this
"taco party" These guys are old drag racers still building race cars and getting together. The old guy Isky is
95 and having a great time.
The rain we're used to out here in So Cal. is a light drizzle and then dry's up the sun comes out and we'd run the
races at Lions like that many a time, yes the count was held down some but for those hearty souls that remember
what it was like most of the action at the Tack Party is inside anyway some new restorations in the works and this
gives everybody a good boost to see and be with old friends.
Thanks to Don & Pattie for making room at there busy shop, more to come.
