Women in the Word Judy Conti, Thursday Mornings, 9:30 am, CR 2

Women in the Word is a women’s Bible study that goes deep into the Word of God! Fellowship before class is at 9:30-10:00 am. Class will begin at 10:00, there will be occasional group discussions throughout the semester. Personal note taking is encouraged as well as scripture memorization.

Women’s FellowshipSept. 30-Nov. 11, 7-9 pm, Auditorium and Classrooms

We are so excited for this year’s Women’s Fellowship study on Monday evenings! We will be doing a video series entitled Psalm 23: The Shepherd with Me by Jennifer Rothschild. In this study our hearts will be encouraged as we experience the depth of God’s care for us individually. We will get to know the presence of the “Good Shepherd whose companionship provides the comfort and confidence we need especially when the valley is dark … we are safe with our Shepherd. Divorce Care is a Christ-centered seminar and support group for people experiencing the pain of separation and divorce. Each evening includes a video followed by a time of sharing and discussion. Water Baptism Instruction Class Pastor Mike Lawver/Elder Ben Gebbia, D-137A

The classes for the November 17 water baptism will be: November 7 & 10 at 9 am. All classes are held in D-137A. All candidates are required to participate in both instruction classes. To sign up, simply complete a Water Baptism Application (available to the left and right of the Coffee Cafe Counter or online) and return it to the church office by November 1.

MEN’S MONDAYS Every Other Monday Night, 7-8:30, CR 1 & 2

Meets every other Monday night to grow in Godly Character. These nights focus on Teaching, Talking, Testimony, and Telling it to the Lord in prayer. These are great nights to connect with many of the men from SGT.

MUMS Joan Rogers, Every Other Tuesday, 9:30-11:30 am, CR 1 & 2

It is a time for mothers of all ages to come together enjoying a continental breakfast in a relaxing, prayerful, and informative atmosphere. A Biblical perspective concerning the home, family, and chil-dren is presented through godly women who share their victorious testimonies through their different seasons of motherhood. Each mother receives a binder filled with resources to encourage her personal walk with God as well as providing information on parenting, marriage, homemaking, and great reci-pes. Childcare is provided.

Becoming a Contagious ChristianTerry Sullivan & Ed Lewis Wednesday Evenings at 7:30 pm, D-138

This is a six-week DVD presentation designed for those who want to share their faith more effectively in today’s world. The authors stress the importance of being yourself, deepening relationships & conver-sations, gaining confidence in order to obey the Great Commission. Come learn strategies for reaching out and how to use springboards to turn conversations to spiritual matters.

Genuinely thanking God for who He is and what He has done in our lives takes our focus off ourselves to where it should be, upon Him. Thankfulness is a form of worship through acknowledging our inability to accomplish anything without Him (John 15:5), yet we can accomplish all things with Him (Philippians 4:13). Join me as we learn to consistently thank our God and live as He intended.
