By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theatre community, since 1988 BC/EFA has raised over $195 million for essential services for people with AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States. Drew Adair, Associate Director of Student Development, Macaulay Honors College, holds a dual BA in English and Theater from Antioch College and an MS Ed in Counseling from Fordham University. A former member of Actors Equity (1996 – 2000), Drew has performed Off- Broadway with the Negro Ensemble Company in Another Chance, 1997; with Philadelphia’s Freedom Theater in both Purlie (1996) and Black Nativity (1995); and in the American Music Theater Festival’s production of BOBOS (1994). He has also thoroughly enjoyed performing now and again at such New York cabaret establishments as The Duplex, Don’t Tell Mama, and the former Village Gate. Drew is delighted to connect to his past and present – and nurture the talents of Macaulay students – through SING!

Linda Gellman is a producer and founding member of Chicago City Limits. In addition to being an improvisor, she has worked as an actress, singer, and dancer in plays, musicals, cabaret shows, and on TV. She has taught improvisation for many years to adults and children both at Chicago City Limits and at schools, colleges, and arts institutions. In the corporate world, Ms. Gelman teaches workshops focused on creativity, problem solving, and communication. She also teaches improvisation to senior citizens and Early Alzheimer patients, helping them use cognitive functions and their own life stories in fun and rewarding sessions.

Manu H. Kumasi , originally from Queens, New York, graduated in 2009 from the Macaulay Honors College (Baruch campus) with a B.B.A. in Economics. He moved to Washington D.C. upon graduation to work for a management consulting firm and in his spare time performed in various plays and staged readings in the DC area. In January 2011, he enrolled in the Honors Conservatory program at The Theatre Lab. At “The Lab”, Manu has performed as Josh in The Rimers of Eldritch, Trofimov in The Cherry Orchard, and Cliff in The Woolgatherer as well as many other roles in class scenes and monologues. When the program concludes in December, Manu hopes to use the lessons learned and experience gained this year to craft a successful career in acting and continually improve as an artist.

Dan Blondell graduated from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College in 2010 with a degree in Philosophy. He currently works at the Friends of THIRTEEN, helping to strengthen local community ties with New York's largest public media company, WNET. As an occasional actor, a gradually improving improviser, and a graduate of LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts (Drama '06), Dan is very excited to contribute to SING! at Macaulay.

Julia Young hails from Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she also attended school. While at the University of Michigan, she founded an improv troupe, “The Impro-fessionals,” won several stand-up comedy contests, and also won the Peter and Barbara Benedek Prize for Best TV Script for her 30 Rock spec script. She is a writer for the new truTV show, Impractical Jokers. Julia is also a national touring company performer with Chicago City Limits. Julia lives somewhere in Harlem.
