  • JUDGE’S BOOK 1956 Chrysler 300B

This car has had a complete frame off – rotisserie

    nuts and bolts restoration.

This car is done to a better than factory “show quality”

    (over- restored)

    and is not concours correct.

  • Quality of Work: This car was disassembled and striped to the bare shell. All of the rust was removed via sandblasting. Exterior paint was striped to bare metal by hand. All sheet metal and body work was done. The entire surface of the car is epoxy primed. Rust pitting was removed and the exterior primed and blocked as necessary to make it straight.

  • Quality of Work: Since no new sheet metal is available for this vehicle, metal had to be cut and butt welded in. Even if you look carefully you will see you cannot find a single spot weld out of place and there is no evidence of this repair what so ever.

  • Quantity of Work: Every piece of the frame and suspension was carefully removed, refurbished or replaced. It was reassembled with new Grade 8 plated nuts and bolts throughout that are corrosion resistant.

  • Quality of Work: All of the pieces and the panels are painted separately and on both sides.

  • 4

Quality of Work: The under body and inside the trunk are painted separately and then double masked to prevent over spray while the exterior of the body is painted.

  • Degree of Difficulty: Aside from some brake and suspension pieces, basic mechanical components, and some of the rubbers, there is nothing made after market for this car.

This is one of the most difficult cars to restore because virtually every piece had to be replaced with good used or we had to refurbish what we had here to make it look new.

Imagine the difficulty in finding one good piece of trim for every piece of trim on this car.

  • Attention to Detail: This car has been gone through from front to back, top to bottom. Every bolt, nut, clip and

screw has been replaced where possible. Most of the clips had to be sandblasted and painted prior to being put back on.

All of the clips everywhere in the car are oriented the same way. The cotter pins in the front suspension have all been installed the same way. The tie rod links are oriented and new zirks

have been installed. Wherever possible bolts, nuts and screws have been oriented.

When taking in to consideration the quality and quantity of work and especially degree of difficulty and attention to detail, this car really deserves a second look.
