The County of Union would like to thank the volunteer organizations, individuals and groups who contribute to the success of the Fall Troop Horse Show as well as other Watchung Stable programs and events.

WSA — The “Watchung Stables Auxiliary” is a non-profit organization that raises funds for the benefit of the Watchung Sta-ble, its horses and programs. WSA is the

"PTA" of the stable where parents, grandparents, and friends of riders volunteer their time for a variety of projects benefiting the horses.

Visit the Auxiliary trailer located between the garage and administration building to see this season’s line of "Watchung Stable" gear such as sweatshirts, blankets, tote and gear bags.

Don’t forget you can still sponsor your favorite horse for the Fall 2016 Troop season! The goal is to purchase saddles and saddle pads for our school horses!

“SHOW - "School Horses of Watchung Retirement Program" has successfully retired 16 school horses since 2002! We recently retired Buddy to Ryerss Home for Aged Eq-uines in Pottstown PA! We thank everyone who has supported our program and our dedicated volunteers who made this possible! In addition to caring for the retirees until they are placed, SHOW covers all of their expenses...veterinary care, farrier expenses, dental care, medications, placement fees, etc. Please help support our program so that we may continue to "provide healthy, comfortable and dignified retirement for the school horses of Watchung". For information, contact Sharon Kapilow at [email protected] or find SHOW at www.facebook.com/SHOWSchoolHorsesofWatchung WJHC — “The Watchung Junior Hunt Club” is open to Watchung Mounted Troop members ages 9 to 17. The club meets regularly and participates in a variety of horse and rider activities, such as riding clinics, craft and community service projects and a summer Horse Show. The club makes annual contribu-tions to the Watchung Stable, including our school horses “Snickers”, “Reece” and “Kevin”.

Visit the WJHC tent where members are hosting a bake sale. You can also purchase a Watchung Stable car magnet, pennant, key ring, or a bracelet with the Watchung Stable shield, Proceeds support WJHC activi-ties and the school horses of Watchung Stables.

DRILL TEAM — In the WJHC tent you can also support the Drill Team. The Drill Team will be selling carrots as a special treat for our horses to thank them for working so hard during the Horse Show. Purchase a carrot and tag it with the name of your favorite horse.
