Konica Minolta JT Basic 6 is Konica Minolta’s software solution for Make-Ready and professional print workflow automation. It is optimised for use in CRDs and in-house printshops of public organisations, universities and corpora-tions, and provides essential functionality to minimise costs and maximise return on investment.

ESSENTIAL TOOL TOOPTIMISE PRINT PROCESSING

Konica Minolta JT Basic 6 gives print providers and CRD managers an efficient templates feature. Operators only need to set up templates once and make great time savings on repetitive pre-press work forever after. They can choose from a wide range of intelligent print functions to administrate all incoming jobs.

Powerful Make-Ready functionality is included for profes-sional job editing. Late job editing enhances the flexibility of the printroom, while the colour split functionality makes producing mixed colour and b/w jobs considerably more economic.

KEY FEATURES Templates

– Frequently used print settings can be saved as products

in order to save time and clicks. When the operator imports a document and chooses a product, the corresponding print settings are applied automatically. The print job arrives print-ready.

Colour split

– This feature helps avoid colour printing where it is not necessary. The operator can check how many and which pages of a print job contain colour and can change elements for which colour is not essential to black & white. The option also allows printing only the coloured pages of a document on a colour printer and the black & white pages of the same document on a monochrome printer. After printing is completed, JT Color Split ensures that the pages are collated in the correct order. This procedure reduces printing costs significantly.

– Konica Minolta JT Basic 6 is the basic module that all other modules and options build on. Its prepress functions can be enhanced with Konica Minolta JT Workflow 6, which provides automation, reporting and internal job submis-sion, as well as Konica Minolta JT Web 6, a web-to-print online shop. Other options are available to extend the functionality further. In other words: The solution can grow according to the customer's specific needs.

Job editing

– Job editor: This convenient tool enables users to adjust paper size and weight; change jobs from colour to black & white and vice versa; change the finishing mode; add or delete tab sheets, slip sheets or empty pages, and much more.

– Real-time preview: Operators can switch instantly between three different previews (page preview, sheet preview and list view), and can make modifications regardless of the selected view.

– Edit source PDF: Advanced editing or preflighting is possible with external applications (e.g. Adobe Acrobat).
