JSS Mahavidyapeetha was the vision and foresight of His Holiness, Jagadguru late Sri Sri Sri Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the 23rd pontiff of the 1000-year-old Suttur Mutt. Sri Sri Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the 24th pontiff, is steering the success of a host of educational institutions and programs in the fields of engineering, medicine, dental, pharmacy, naturopathy, nursing, law, management, pure sciences, arts, commerce, vocational and spiritual education.

Established in the year 1954 the Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara Mahavidyapeetha has been described by many eminent educationists as an institution greater than a university, because under its aegis a child can begin its education in the kindergarten and proceed to earn a degree as well a doctorate in several branches of learning. Simultaneously the Mahavidyapeetha has not neglected to strengthen the roots of our ancient knowledge, wisdom and culture and their application in the day to day life. Sanskrit Pathashalas, Yoga Kendras, Spiritual Retreats, Gurukulas, Art and Cultural forums are doing this work. Today the Mahavidyapeetha has grown into a center of learning that guides and manages more

than 310 institutions spread throughout Karnataka, neighboring Tamil Nadu and also in Uttar Pradesh. Every year thousands of aspirants of education and knowledge join the fold of the Mahavidyapeetha.

Science and Technology enTrepreneurS park (STep)JSSATE Noida Campus has the Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Part (STEP) – an entreneurship training cell. Focus areas for the STEP are information and Technology and Manufacturing Technology. Towards this end, STEP conducts short term courses, guest lectures and personality development sessions, all aimed towards catalysing the future entreprenuers of this country. informaTion and Technology BuSineSS incuBaTor (iTBi)ITBI is a novel scheme initiated at JSSATE, Noida, for the development of Entrepreneurs inthe are of Information and Technology. The department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India has sponsored the centre incubators where in-house experts, as well as technocrats from industries, are offering their services. These incubators help to build the knowledge-base of JSS faculty members and also provide a forum for the students to effectively develop into Entreprenuers after their graduation.
