While basketball events include: free-throw, side-shot, spot shot, knock-out and 3 vs 3. We appreciate your help and donations. Go Ramey! Thus far, The Bombers Boys’ junior varsity and varsity basketball teams are hard at work in search of their first win of the season. Although the team has faced extreme- ly tough competition to start the season, Coaches James Otero and Jose Morales remain optimistic about the teams’ potential. Together, they are hard at work in an attempt to get the teams on the right track. The teams’ biggest issue seems to be turnovers. The Bombers have turned the ball over more than their opponents in each game. “Right now we are making too many rookie mistakes, making bad passes, not catching the ball, and missing layups”, said Coach Morales. With a little more confidence and improvement in ball control and handling, the team could easily reverse this trend. On the offensive end of the court, the team has struggled for consistency. However, as of late, the team has shown tremendous improvement in this area. “We know its is mid-season with. The season is going fast. Now is the time to correct our mistakes and play great basketball”, said Coach Morales. “We are relying on last years’ returning players to use their experience and leadership on the court to achieve our goals”.
