Michigan born and educated, Joyce Barron Leopardo has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 39 years. Joyce has worked in the business world, while still following her passion for art. Barron’s work is represented in the collection of Stanford and Mills-Peninsula Hospitals plus many private collections both in the United States and Europe. Joyce also donates her time to both private and civic organizations for the arts. She has been juror and tutor, and has received many awards. Primarily using the medium of watercolor, Barron is an artist who is interested in developing her personal style with technique and unique effects and wishes to convey her inner feelings and spirit on paper. Joyce has been teaching and working in mixed-medium of late and enjoying the freedom and creativity it allows.
Watercolor is a seductive medium that has been revered by its devoted practitioners for centuries. Many painters believe that the challenge of painting in watercolor is not to make art, but to master the medium. Barron fuses this sensual fluid medium with a wonderful awareness that comes from seeing, feeling and touching something and then sharing this with others. Her goal is to share with you a moment in time, space, color, the mood of a particular moment, and the ultimate experience of being. She would like to captivate your soul!

COST: $175 Society of Western Artist Members, $185 Non-Members (No non-member discount)

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations 30 days or more prior to the first day of the workshop are 100% deductible. Once the workshop begins, there will be no refunds for no-shows or withdrawals. SWA reserves the right to cancel workshops due to insufficient enrollment or reasons beyond our control. If a workshop is cancelled by SWA, registrants will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel and there is a waiting list or you find a replacement for your place in the workshop, you will receive a complete refund. The Workshop Facilitator can help you find a substitute if there is a waiting list.
