To scope the extent to which educational
and training provision across health and social care providers meets End of Life Care strategies.
To identify any gaps in specified areas of education from varied perspectives
Aims
To make recommendations for education and training requirements that cover:
◦ the workforce skill mix and sectors including: Staff who spend the whole of their time
caring for those at end of life. Staff who frequently deal with end of life care Staff involved in providing end of life care work
across different sectors.
◦ the diverse needs of the workforce◦ meeting relevant standards◦ stakeholder perspectives◦ the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide
high quality care
