Acting Like Jesus Means…
I don’t demand what I think I deserve
“Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God.” Phil 2:6
I try to replace selfishness with service
“He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a servant
and appeared in human form.” Phil 2:7
“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one
another in honor” Romans 12:10
I do what’s right even when it painful
“And in human form Jesus obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal’s death on a cross.” Phil 2:8

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION
1. How good are you at really paying attention to the people in your life?
What is one of the biggest hindrances for you to being able to pay attention to those you are in relationship with?
2. Of the three attitudes of Jesus described in the sermon outline which can you emulate the best? Which do you have the most trouble with? 3. Do you think it is even possible that we seek to have an attitude like Jesus? 4. Talk about some other qualities of Jesus not mentioned in the outline that you could try to imitate that would help your relationships. 5. Talk or think about a relationship you are currently struggling with. Is there anything in the message for this week that you could immediately apply to that relationship that might help it get better?

1. Read through Philippians 2:1-11 a couple of times; at least one time out loud. With all that has been talked about above, are there any other insights you have had?

Saturday - 5:00 PM - Blended Sunday - 8:00 AM - Traditional Sunday - 9:35 AM - Contemporary Sunday - 11:00 AM - Contemporary
Nursery Care (under 3 years old) Located through the stained glass doors.
Sunday School (3 years old - 5th grade) Available at 5:00 PM, 9:35 AM and 11:00 AM services. Begin at worship, then after the Children’s Message, Sunday School leaders will escort them to class. You will need to pick them up in the classroom following the worship service.
Confirmation (6th - 8th grade) Meets during the 9:35 AM service. Begin at worship, then dismissed for learning time.
Hot Church (9th - 12th grade) Meets during the 9:35 AM service. Begin at worship, then dismissed to the Youth Room.
Youth Bible Study (6th - 12th grade) Meets during the 11:00 AM service in Youth Room.
Communion (1st and 3rd weekends) All are welcome to receive the sacrament.
Adult Bible Study Sunday’s at 9:35 in Classroom #2 of the Education Building.
