YOUTH EMPOWERMENT UPDATEIn the beginning of 2016, IBL organized two ToT (Training of Trainers)

Passport to Success in two cities in Indonesia; Bekasi and Batam. Both ToT

were following the success of the rst ToT in Karawang that was organized

in the past 2015.The objective of ToT Passport to Success is to prepare the participants

especially the teachers, to be the trainers of Passport to Success Life Skills

STAKEHOLDER YES PROGRAM MEETINGIn February 16 2016, IBL held Stakeholder YES Program Meeting at IBL ofce. This meeting was attended by around 30 participants, consisted of the mentors and IBL staffs. Pak Heru Prasetyo as IBL Chairman delivered his keynote speech. In his speech, he explained the history of Youth Entrepreneurship program and how IBL is currently strengthening its main pillars; Business Ethics, Youth Empowerment, and Environment.

FGD on Human Resource Development

On 16 April 2016, IBL held Human Resource Development (HRD) Forum themed "Effective recruitment to nd reliable h u m a n r e s o u r c e " . T h e f o r u m d i s c u s s e d t h e Implementation of recruitment and selection process of employees by companies which is a very important task.

Skilled Youth Program is a youth empowerment program supported by Citibank Foundation and Citi Peka. The main purpose of this program is to develop and empower 250 youths from low-income families ages 15 - 29 in the area of Bekasi, Cikarang, and Karawang. Skilled Youth Program has two main work areas, i) Skilled Youth Employability and ii) Skilled Youth Entrepreneurship. Through these two work areas, youths as beneciaries will be provided by options to increase their capacities in order to improve their chance of employment or to pursue entrepreneurial career through provision of business skills.

On innovative dialogue sessions at the workshop, Executive Director of Indonesia Business Links, Yanti Triwadiantini conveyed understanding of partnership. "The real partnership is a relationship which has running together, creating mutual benet, and the risk also covered together", She said.

LOKAKARYA NASIONAL RUMAH BERSAMA CSR

one-day training partnership batch vAs part of IBL commitment to actively build partnership among private sector, government, and NGOs to achieve sustainable development, we organized Partnership Training Batch 5 in March 17th 2016. Following the success of the previous batches, we had 25 participants from various background such as corporate, NGOs, government, and also academicians. This one day training was held in Sofyan Hotel Jakarta. With the spirit of Managing Multi-secto partnership, this training aimed to give a comprehensive knowledge about the importance of partnership and how to manage its sustainability.

HRD Workshop: How to Create Good Employee To continue the success story of HRD Workshop I on April 16th 2016, IBL organized HRD Workshop II on June 22nd 2016 in Hotel Horison Bekasi. This workshop was attended by 35 participants from various backgrounds especially HRD representatives from companies, government ofcials from Bappenas and Disnaker, and also representatives from BKK SMK in Bekasi. The workshop aimed to indentify the ideal criteria of good employee for industry sector, including the challenges in building young people's character to be good employee.

Job Counseling was held on May 10th 2016, at SMKN 1 Bekasi, West Java. This event was attended by 41 participants of life-skill training (man and woman), also with 2 teachers from school.

MUDA TERAMPIL BERUSAHAMuda Terampil Berusaha, a program funded by Accenture which aims to create youth entrepreneur in Karawang. This program in line with local government policy that encourage economic development in Karawang through entrepreneurship. Moreover, youth in Karawang prefer to work at industrial sector which in fact are able to offer limited seats.The result is increasing number of unemployed youth due to the inbalancement between supply and demand of employee.

JULY - AUGUST

Indonesia Businees Links conducted multi-sector forum as a c losure for Youth Empowerment, held on Friday, 29th July 2016 at Hotel Harris, Bekasi. The event aimed to formulate collective action in overcome youth unemployment issue in Bekasi, where the result of the forum will give positive effect for all parties.

Program Closure: SKILLED YOUTH

By the end of the program, 172 youth got job instead of 130 youth targeted. Also,102 youth attended the entrepreneurships Awareness and Preparedness Workshop as well as Entrepreneurship Training. They were also equipped with basic knowledge and skill to design business plan. About 34 youth showing continuous commitment to be young entrepreneurs.

On Tuesday July 26th 2016, IBL Collaboration with Citi Indonesia talked about Youth Empowerment in Indonesia at radio Smart FM 95.9. The speakers are Elvera Makki as Head of Country Corporate Affairs of Citi Indonesia, Mohamad Fahmi as the Executive Director of IBL, and also Mr Maliki as Director of Labor and Employment Creation The Ministry of National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas). As the Moderator talkshow is Yanti Triwadiantini, Sustainability Adviser Indonesia Business Links.These talkshows discussed about the importance of youth empowerment program in Indonesia regarding the fact that one third of our population consists of young people.

NEXT generation programWith support from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation (JPMF), the International Youth Foundation (IYF) and Indonesia Business Links (IBL) will provide job skills and IT technical training in Indonesia to IT students from selected colleges in the greater Jakarta area. The primary goal of this 18-month project is to improve the employability and workforce entry outcomes of program beneciaries. The secondary objective of the program is to equip the colleges' career centers' to respond to real-time needs in the job market.

Recorded throughout 2015 – 2016, there are ve batches consist of 179 peoples participated in the training who come from various background such as private sector, government, civil society organization, academic, and individual. For strengthening network

thamong the alumni of training partnership, on September 15 2016, IBL has initiated to conduct "Temu Alumni Training Partnership: Sharing and Learning More", which aimed to share, prepare and identify candidates who want to be partnership trainer for development.

On September 23rd 2016, they conducted Multi-stakeholder Dialogue “Knowledge Sharing and Recent Updates on UNGPs: Indonesia and Global”. The Dialogue featured by Ms. Rachel Davis (Former Legal Adviser to UN Special Representative on Bus iness & Human R ight s , P ro f . John Rugg ie) , Ms . Debora R . Tjandrakusuma(Legal & Corporate Affairs Director PT Nestlé Indonesia, Vice President Human Rights of IGCN), and was moderated by Ms. Yanti Triwadiantini, Sustainability Adviser to Executive Director Indonesia Business Links.

MULTI-STAKEHOLDERS DIALOGUE WALKING THE TALK:PROMOTING ACCOUNTABLE BUSINESS THROUGH ADVANCEMENT OF UNGPs IMPLEMENTATION IN INDONESIA

On September 29th 2016, The Alliance for Integrity in Indonesia succesfully launched the event with theme Implementing Integrity into Practice: Collective Action to enhance Business Integrity in Indonesia. The event also featured an interactive panel for a discussion of related issues that confront businesses in Indonesia in the area of integrity and promote collective action as a way to achieve mutual enhancing integrity in Indonesia.

In this training, the participants learned about the denition of partnership and how to manage it professionally. Thus, there will be a solid and effective partnership that creates mutual benet for those who involve in it.

Muda Terampil Berusaha (MTB) Forum: EMPOWERING YOUTH ENTREPRENEUR IN KARAWANG

IBL organized a talk show for Forum Muda Terampil Berusaha (Forum nd

MTB) on Saturday, October 22 2016 at Sindang Reret restaurant, Karawang. In this forum, IBL invited all stakeholders of Program MTB and some speakers to share their experiences in entrepreneurship. This forum also announced the participants who will participate in Program MTB, including the launch of this program. There are four speakers in this talk show, Mr. Eka Robbi Egiwinardo (Team Leader of Micro Bank BJB Karawang), Mr. Asep Irawan Syafei (Young entrepreneur of Karawang), Mrs. Afril Lavanda ( Young entrepreneur of Karawang – beneciary of IBL), and Mr. Fajar Setiawan (Young entrepreneur of Karawang – beneciary of IBL). The talk show talked and shared the experiences of young entrepreneurs of Karawang in doing their business and to learn about the importance of doing business as an alternative way to face the low number of job availability. This talk show was moderated by Mr. Mohamad Fahmi, Executive Director IBL.

Business and human rights, sustainability reporting and responsible business conduct more generally are high on many agendas and growing in importance for Business. Companies are being confronted with these themes from various angles: human rights and responsible business conduct are attracting increased media coverage; consumer organisations are becoming more vocal in their demands for information on production conditions and routes to market; non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and trade unions are approaching companies with requests for information on human rights impacts on the societies in which these businesses operate.

On behalf ASEAN CSR Network, Mohamad Fahmi, Executive Director Indonesia Business Links presented Driving Business and Human Rights in ASEAN. On that occasion, he also shared ASEAN Guidelines for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Labour. This ASEAN Guidelines for CSR on Labour aims to serve as guidelines for the governments, enterprises/establishments, employers' organisations and workers' organisations in ASEAN Member States.

The Alliance for Integrity convened its rst Working Group meeting at the GIZ Ofce, Jakarta in Indonesia. The meeting was attended by IBL representatives of the Advisory Group member. The meeting aimed to initiate the formation of two Working Groups on capacity building and awareness raising. These Working Groups will serve as platforms for supporters of the Alliance for Integrity to discuss initiatives and develop instruments in the areas of business integrity and anti-corruption in the country.
