USING MID MAPPING TO TEACHING WRITING TO YOUNG LEARNERS By: Antik Jamilatun Kh 4-i Abstrak The problem of this research was how to teach writing to young lerners and how to motivate students to desire to write. This resaerch was guided conceptual the important design using mid mapping to teach writing so the students feel interested to write. In this study the researcher use descriptive study as a research design. Type of the research is classroom action researchn. Subject of the research students of 3rd grade is consist 25 students. To collect the data the research used vocabulary test and observation to got the data from students motivation to improve writing skill using mid mapping. The result of the analysis from students’ writing. the writer could concluded that using mid mapping method can improve students writing skill and vocabualary mastery. key word : midmaping,teaching writing, and young learner. Abstrak

The problem of this research was how to teach writing to young lerners and how to motivate students to desire to write. INTRODUCTION

1. Background

Teaching writing is important and also difficult, the young learners

feel board learning english such as listening,reading,speaking and writing.

Especially in learning writing students feel difficult to write something they

need some suggestion to do it. students who are just learning to write can

build language structure,vocabulary and expression. The teacher can teach

young learners to spell many ways. When they write and are to concerned

about correct spelling and punction they have difficult about build more

deeper.

To make easier in the process, the students should be undrestood

techniq in writing process and the young learners instiall the a love of word in

them and give story the young learners interest.

2. Aimd

The study aimd to teaching writing to young learners and improve

young lerners intrested in writing.

LITARATURE

Writing is one of the skill that should be mastered by every students. By

writing, the students will be expressed their idea and expression into written

especially to young learners they feel difficult to write some hing.

Therefore, there are some definition that will be describe as follow:

1. Mid Mapping

Maid Mapping aids with cognition and hooks into your multiple

learning intellegences.

2. Teaching Writing

Teaching is a complex process, it is not only the activities transfering

information from teacher to students but also other activities done by teacher

Teaching writing is difficult many people

According to Heaten ( in Surachmat in Sri 2006:15) “mention that the

aim of teaching is to help the students, to develop their writing skills”. Writing

skills are specific abilities which help writers put their thoughts into words in a

meaningful form and to mentally interact with the message.

3. Young Learners

Young learners are learner child who prefer to play than to learn.

Acoording to Pinter (2006 p.2) says “ children are pre school or in the frist

couple of years of schooling,they have limited reading and writing skill event

in their frist language”.

METHODOLOGY

Base on the objective and problem research, the researcher will carry out

the research comprising some steps as follows:

Frist the researcher come to the school and meet English teacher that teach in

that school.

Second the researcher prepare the matrial and came to the class 3rd grade it

consist 25 students.

Third the researcher order the students write for a set amoung of time about

anything they want, without the need to focus on specific topic. If one of the

students is having a hard time and doesnt know what to write. They need to make

their own association and get their own ideas moving. However to get the students

off ion the right foot the researcher might try showing them how its done on the

chalkboard then demostrate how free writing works read what do writing aloud or

have students read it out. Don’t need to write a story the important things is to

keepwriting continously for the set amount of time.

Choose a topic that will be easly enough for all students in the classroom.

Teacher might have them write about something relating to what teachers working

in the classroom. Give students a little more time for a quick writing excercise

along with them.

CONCLUSSION

Based on the result of date proccesing theritorical foundation in this

research about using Mid Mapping to teaching writing to young learners at the 3rd

grade in one of elementary school in Majenang.Before using Mid Mapping to

teaching writing to young learners students feel difficult to write but after the

using this method students interst to writing.

The result of the research using Mid Mapping make students feel enjoy

write they want and improve their vocabulary mastery
