• What are some things that irritate you about these celebrities?Consider their talent (or lack there of), hobbies, speech, actions,

relationships, personality, etc…

• Now list some interviewers that irk you (Oprah, Charlie Rose, Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O’Brien, etc…).

• What are some things that irritate you about these interviewers? Consider the types of questions they ask, their show format, their style of speech, etc…

Part 3- Write your own satirical celebrity interview

• Using a satirical interview method create an interview choosing one interviewer from your pre-writing. This interviewer should ask questions and sometimes provide their own opinions and thoughts. • Choose one of the celebrities from your pre-writing. They should

provide answers, and sometimes you may choose to have them ask the questions. How ironic! • The interview should look like a script.• Be sure to use irony, absurdity and exaggeration to enhance the satire

and make your message clear about what it is that you are specifically criticizing.
