BIRDS OF PREY PRESENTATION A big thank you to Josephinum alumnaCarole Larson Jacobson (Class of '61) forintroducing us to her neighbor, Mike Rizo,who works for the USDA ForestService. Through Mike's connections,Josephinum had the incredibleopportunity to welcome wildlife biologistJo Santiago for a presentation onMonday, March 23rd. Jo talked aboutpursuing her dream of working with birds of prey despite her harsh upbringing in SpanishHarlem, NY. Her story was so inspirational to Josephinum students, and the girls loved meetingJo's special guests, which included two hawks, a falcon, and an adorable little owl.

KAIROS SENIOR RETREAT

Josephinum Academy's 56 Senior girlswent on the annual "Kairos" retreat toNew Buffalo, Michigan for three daysMarch 3­5, 2015. The students learnedmore about their fellow classmates, andthe retreat offered them an opportunityto solidify strong bonds in their last fewmonths of high school. Kairos 2015 wasa beautiful reminder of the SacredHeart sisterhood.

has been actively involved with the Special Olympics since 1972.
