Last April I had the opportunity to join PhotogenX, a photography-focused discipleship program stemming from the Youth With A Mission organization. Through the discipleship training school and the missions ex-perience that followed, I learned countless valuable life lessons. During the 3-month discipleship training course, I learned what it truly means to be a disciple of Jesus through various lectures and community integration in Kona, Hawaii. I had the opportunity to follow-up this training with a 3-month long journey in North East Asia. God revealed his power to me using different people and experiences he put forth in my life during this life-changing trip. In just one week as a photographer in North Korea, the Lord revealed his power to me in so many ways. Following the experi-ence in North East Asia, I returned to Kona, deter-mined to explore what the Lord has been preparing for my future.

Through all these experiences, I believe that God is calling me into full-time ministry with YWAM. I’m ex-cited to have the opportunity to be a staff member at the discipleship school I attended for the better half of 2011. My role will be to lead, discipline and encour-age students who are entering the discipleship school to walk out in the fullness of what the Lord has for them; just in the same way I was encouraged and led a year before.

As a school, our goal is to know God and make him known to this generation. My passion is to participate in forming a generation that is passionate about Him. PhotogenX is a school that is committed to empow-ering students to use their artistic gifts as a tool to offer a “voice for the voiceless.” PhotogenX is exper-

I’m a marked man. The Lord has placed a calling on my life to serve Him and to see his kingdom glorified and lifted high. I want to pursue God’s calling on my life in the best way I know how and I have a deep desire to see God move in all His power through me.

Apart from PhotogenX, I am also a key leader for the Skate Night Ministry on the YWAM base. Skate Night is a ministry aimed at Kona locals and gives local skateboarders a positive environment to prac-tice their passion. This ministry has been active for 7 years and has continued to grow and flourish to gar-ner more support with the skateboarding community. This ministry has a special place in my heart as it has been an opportunity for me to directly connect my passion (skateboarding) with the mission of support-ing the local Kona community in Christ-centered love.

I pray that during next 2 years of ministry, God will use me, direct me and help me grow to become a leader committed to sharing His love for the world. I would like to invite you to join me in prayer as I em-bark on this exciting journey.
