Recordings

José Luis Madueño – Chilcano, his first album, recorded and released in the United States by the Latin jazz label Songosaurus, where he introduces his jazz compositions with peruvian styles as lando, vals, zamacueca and festejo. This album has been reviewed with remarkable comments by Jazz Times, Latin beat, Jam Magazine and Jazziz and has guest stars as Alex Acuña, John Patitucci and Steve Tavaglione.

Wayruro, the name and of the band and its only album introduces the music of the Peruvian Andes in a unique style. The band, created by José Luis Madueño (Conductor and Arranger) and Jean Pierre Magnet (Co-Conductor), gives a new approach to the peruvian folk music, developing it in a broad frame with influences from different musical styles of the world. With original and traditional compositions this album has influenced many artists in Peru.

Flight of the Condor by José Luis Madueño is an album that consists of 10 original compositions based on the Peruvian Andes musical roots, created for a peruvian show -of the same name- that has performed at the Nautilus Theater in Sea World, Orlando, Florida for several years. The traditional elements used on these works are combined wth contemporary sounds (edited and released by Aedo Enterprises in Florida, USA.)

Navidad Afroandina by José Luis Madueño & Ricardo Silva, published in USA by Goin’ Native, introduces the most favorite Christmas songs from around the world in a Latin American (and particularly Peruvian) musical approach featuring the region’s traditional instruments and styles. Afroandina Christmas has no precedent in the recording industry. Its unique sound, based on the styles and instrumentation used, refreshes carols songs and allows the listener to enjoy this music
