An affordable housing proposal in response to the influx of millennials migrating to the once deserted La Sexta district of downtown Tijuana. The project focuses on a need for live-work spaces, while retaining the character-istics of the open market and informal economies of the immediate context.

Thesis l James EnosThesis Statement: This thesis is intended to investi-gate the ways in which time is used in the context of the everyday, and develop a design approach centered around daily activity of the user and the philosophies of time management. Through the observation of everyday activity across demographics, and the relationships between tasks, time, and space, a time efficient architec-tural design centered on the cyclical nature of the human field condition.

Role: Lead Design, Project Coordinator
La Tereza was a project completed on the roof top of an architecture school in Tijuana. The design was derived out of the need to host a Pe-cha Kucha Event , while also protecting users from the edge of the roof due to the low parapet. The undulating planters were also designed to act as a break space for students, and to grow herbs for the near by culinary school, creating a cross dialogue between the two fields.

1Dpi l Bread and Salt GalleryBarrio Logan, San DiegoDesigner, Fabricator, Installation
A gallery installation at the Bread and Salt Gallery for the rotating Not and Exit exhibition. The project was designed around the con-cept of “in-exterior”. From the exterior of the gallery looking into the space, users saw the inside of the form, from inside the gal-lery the exterior was visible. The design relied heavily on structure and material. A carbon fiber film was laminated to the cardboard to keep the form in tension.

1Dpi l Periscope l Port JourneysDesign InternSan Diego,CA.+Yokohama, JapanA conceptual piece to examine the relationships between two sister cities: San Diego and Yokohama. A form was generated which could serve as a vessel to record water, skyline, and urban conditions in both cities, and the video information was then replayed at the Port Journeys Art Gallery with various models of the form.
