It is probably the most important election we have had on Guam for a generation It is time we brought to government the sound principles of the private sector to achieve reduced government costs and better efficiencies. I am committed to working on initiatives that will make sure small local businesses have a fair share of the enormous work coming with the buildup. Making sure that these businesses are not adversely impacted by inflated labor costs and increased competition for talent is another issue I intend to work hard on as your senator. Guam businesses must have a share in the enormous contract work associated with the buildup. I will work for ways to achieve that goal.

Competition for talent and skilled labor caused by the need for workers on military-related projects should not be allowed to impact local small business.

Better integration of workforce needs with educational institutions to produce employees with the required skills is a key issue I will focus on as your senator.

Implementing an effective Weights & Measures program for Guam is vital to assure funding so residents can rest assured that our roads - once fixed - will be able to be maintained properly.

Implementing a modern Voter Registration program would not only save millions of dollars for GovGuam but also make it easier for a new generation of voters - young adults - to become a part of the election; to make their voices heard.

These are just a few of the ideas that I have heard from the people. As your senator I will constantly look out for new answers to old problems on Guam - together we can find real solutions that work!
