During this period I worked as a runner and later as a waiter. I gained a lot of knowledge and skills to manage people.

During 2011-2012 several opportunities for vacation work exposed me to process mapping and analyzing. A relocation project of a store room and a feasibility study to substantiate the relocation of the storeroom was completed.

During January 2013-June 2013 I was working at the Sandvik Krugersdorp PU site where the manufacturing of drill bits, -rods and –pipes are done. I was responsible for process mapping, time and capability studies on several production lines. We managed to increase the production and utilize the resources more effectively.

In June 2013 Sandvik reassigned me to the Jet Park site where I had the opportunity to do a mine optimization project at a South Deep Shaft. We did studies underground to design and optimize their distress cycle process.

During June 2013- December 2013 I was responsible for designing and implementing a process to manage the Rock Tools pricing in South Africa.

January 2014- Present I have been part of the Trans4Mine group within Sandvik. We are responsible for optimization and improvement projects in the mining industry. Projects that I was part of include optimization at mines in Bulgaria and Tanzania and several mines in South Africa. Projects range from the development of Production Models, Systems audits, Optimal Replacement Intervals projects of the underground equipment and implementation of best practice Operations Systems. I am also busy developing an Energy Efficiency Audit as an additional offering for Trans4mine.
