PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONCORKJOINT Jointflex is a closed cell, crossed linked, non-absorbent polyethylene expansion joint filler board for use inexpansion and isolation joints in concrete and masonry structures. Jointflex is UV resistant, has excellent weatherability, isnon-absorbent and has excellent properties allowing it to be used in water retaining and excluding structures where, potable,salt, chlorine and sewerage water is prevalent.

AVAILABLE SIZES Jointflex is available in sheet size 2m x 1 m. Jointflex is available in thickness of 1 0, 1 2, 15, 20 and 25mm. Sizes from 2-50mm are cut to order. Jointflex is available in low density (50kg/m³), medium density ( 1 00kg/m³) and in high density ( 1 50kg/m³).

GENERAL PURPOSE WATER RETAINING / EXCLUDINGSTANDARD DETAILS OF GROUND SLAB APPLICATIONS

WRITTEN SPECIFICATIONWhere shown in the drawings, the expansion joint fillerboard shall be Jointflex, closed cell / cross-linked polyethylenefillerboard material, with a minimum density of 50kg/m³, as supplied by CORKJOINT. The application / installation of theproduct must be in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES Jointflex is cut to size in sheet form with a sharp retractable blade. Sheets and rolls are adhered to the first concrete structureby a contact adhesive. Adhesive is applied directly to the sheet in 50mm diameter ‘spots’ @ 300mm centers (approximately)or as required. Also refer to our installation method, available upon request.
