The endangered moon carrot, found in only two other places in the UK, is now thriving there. n Five wildflower meadows in Bedfordshire have been improved with the help of a new tractor and other equipment – so that bees, butterflies, hedgehogs, cuckoos and scarce wildflowers can survive and flourish. n Dormice, nightingales, lesser spotted woodpeckers and white admiral butterflies are just a few species benefitting from the restoration of 200 hectares of woodland in Northamptonshire. continued over...
