2020 Annual MeetingNovember 18-21Boca Raton, Florida

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to join the 2020 CTOS Annual Meeting held in Boca Raton, Florida, from November 18-21, the 25th anniversary of CTOS!

We will celebrate the growth of CTOS from its beginning led by a small group of visionaries who gathered “the” global sarcoma community for a few days every year to network and share knowledge to advance the field of sarcoma biology and management. We look forward to an exciting program to commemorate the 25th anniversary and highlight the multidisci-plinary nature of our society.

The meeting will be held at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, where the idea of CTOS originated in 1995. The resort will provide opportunities for social interactions, continuing the sense of community, family and friendship, a key part of the success of CTOS.

The program has been developed to feature both proffered abstract presentations and lectures, providing a mix of “science” and “education”. Sessions will focus on a given disease entity or family of entities, rather than on disciplines, and will include abstracts on both preclinical/translational and clinical aspects of the diseases. There will be two discussants for each session to present an introduction to the disease, followed by discussion of selected abstracts (i.e., oral presentations and proffered posters). Patient advocates and health care professionals of all disciplines are invited to contribute to the scientific program by submitting abstracts.

We especially invite junior sarcoma clinicians, diagnosticians, and researchers to attend and contribute to this meeting! CTOS is committed to the education of the next generation of experts, who will allow this field to continue to evolve and grow. As in Tokyo last year, “Meet-the-Experts” sessions will occur every morning to stimulate interactive case discussions between panel experts and audience.

We hope the meeting will stimulate debates on scientific and educational topics, harmonize our views and practices throughout the world, raise open questions to address in future years, and continue our collaborative efforts across borders and oceans. The 2020 CTOS Annual Meeting will feature NTRK-rearranged sarcoma as “Sarcoma of the Year” - one of the most discussed and controversial subjects in the field.

Abstract submissions will be accepted from March 15 – June 21, 2020. In order to facilitate abstract submissions and increase the number of contributions, the final submission deadline will be later than in previous years. No extended submissions will be accepted after the final submission deadline on June 21, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST.

All presenters will be required to provide their presentations to the discussants, 4 weeks in advance of the meeting start date on October 21, 2020.

We are looking forward to hosting all sarcoma communities in Boca Raton, and involve as many of you as possible, in the best interest of sarcoma patients around the world.

We hope to see you in November!
