will be sponsoring a Cotton Candy Booth.
K-Fest (Knightdale Kid Festival) is a new festival in Knightdale. Their mission is to connect youth with local non-profits, educational and cultural arts opportunities they may not otherwise be exposed to. This collaborative effort of community partners plays an important role in strengthening the educational component in Knightdale and Eastern Wake County. Go to

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Items of the Month

BALLOON SCULPTURES TRAINING
We would like to put together a team of adults and teens to learn how to make balloon animals, hats and sculptures. There will be several opportunities during the summer and fall for you to use this skill in ministry. Bud Dyer will be teaching the class. Classes will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at 6:30pm. Tell Bud Dyer if you have an interest. We would like to have at least 5 people trained for the September 10 K-Fest at the Knightdale park.

5:30 pm Our theme for September will be “Back To School”. If you would like to participate, please sign up on the Senior Cornerstone Bulletin Board, located across from the kitchen. We are asking that all participants find a childhood picture/school picture and give to Gloria in the church office. We will use these photos in a game activity during our September meeting. Sign up will begin on Sunday, August 28!

in the Fellowship Hall Including a regular business meeting, mission trip testimonies and worship
music. There will also be benevolence love offering, which will be
administered by the deacons. Childcare available for babies up to 2 year olds. Sign up in foyer or at preschool desk. Agendas are available in the foyer.

CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST The Celebration Choir will have their fall kickoff on Friday night, August 26 at 6pm-9pm. We will have a picnic followed by an introduction of our Christmas Music. If you are interested in singing in the Celebration Choir, plan to attend the kickoff. Please put this date on your calendar.
CELEBRATION CHOIR SEEKS NEW MEMBERS
Is God speaking to YOU about being a part of the Celebration Choir and Music Ministry?? Please pray about participating in this ministry. We especially need more men.
LIFE LINE SCREENING Life Line Screening, a leading provider of community-based preventive health screenings, will offer their affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings here at GPBC on Monday, October 24. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries which is a leading cause of stroke; abdominal aortic aneurysms which can lead to a ruptured aorta; hardening of the arteries in the legs which is a strong predictor of heart disease; atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat which is closely tied to stroke risk; and a bone density screening, for men and women, used to assess the risk of osteoporosis.
