Value Chain Project Incubator: Dedicated sessions over three days enable participants to progress from exploring projects underway within specific crop value chains, to finding partners for existing projects and launching new initiatives. Incubator sessions culminate in time spent developing concrete action plans for promising projects.

High-Level Plenary Panels: High level representatives from all Grow Africa stakeholder groups review progress in accelerating the implementation of responsible investments and what needs to be done to better match investment opportunities and implementation with country plans for agricultural transformation. Grow Africa founders outline priorities following the move to an Africa-based secretariat.

Thematic sessions within specific streams:

• Panel discussions stimulate debate and thinking on core issues such as improving regional trade and developing viable business models for smallholder agriculture

• Solution Building sessions focus on broad systemic constraints and map specific ways forward through small, interactive groups where discussion is catalysed by a short concrete case study

• Innovations, New Thinking and Best Practice sessions provide Grow Africa partners with an opportunity to showcase and learn from specific, successful best practice and new innovations that are scalable and replicable

Investment Marketplace: National governments and companies present investment opportunities and pitch for new project partners.

Finance masterclass: Financers – from social impact investors to commercial banks - explain what they look for in a credit application and outline their decision framework. Participants share specific cases for discussion.

The Grow Africa partnership was founded jointly by the African Union (AU), The New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) and the World Economic Forum in 2011. Grow Africa works to increase private sector investment in agriculture, and accelerate the execution and impact of investment commitments. The aim is to enable countries to realise the potential of the agriculture sector for economic growth and job creation, particularly among farmers, women and youth.

ABOUT GROW AFRICA

Grow Africa brokers collaboration between governments, international and domestic agriculture companies, and smallholder farmers in order to lower the risk and cost of investing in agriculture, and improve the speed of return to all stakeholders. For more information, visit www.growafrica.com
