Join the European Fusion 360 Designathon on the 20th and 21st January 2017 Attend the first of our annual 48 hour design challenges where students from across Europe connect, form teams, get free of charge training and mentoring from industry experts while designing a product using the software of the future. Discover and use Autodesk Fusion 360, a next-generation 3D CAD and CAM software and participate in a European Design challenge in partnership with Autodesk, Connect and the Autodesk training partner network. What is a Designathon? The Designathon is made up of teams of 3-5 participants from Universities/Schools from all over Europe. Each University will field multiple teams. The Designathon is split into two days: Day 1 – Fusion 360 Training The first day is focussed on building the students design skills using Fusion 360 and learning about all its design tools and capabilities. The Students attend an 8 hour Fusion 360 training workshop provided free of charge from an Autodesk Authorized Training Center. A minimum of 30 new Fusion 360 students will have to attend this training. Day 2 - Designathon All students will be working in teams (on the same campus, or virtually) on an industry design brief. Each team will be allocated to an A360 project and folder that is set up for their campus. A separate folder can be set up for virtual teams. What are the requirementsto be part of the Designathon• A minimum of 30 Students per University/School• A location to hold the event over the two days (if an issue contact Connect/Knowledgepoint using the email indicated below)• Access to computers with Fusion 360 installed (Students can bring their own device)• Internet access for all participants• Confirmation of being able to complete an on-line evaluation during the event• Provide staff to support the students and trainers during the event over the two days (all training and running of the event to be provided by industry experts free of charge)
