2019 DollarWise Summer Youth Jobs ContestDirections for Youth

The U.S. Conference of Mayors’ DollarWise Campaign invites you to participate in the 2019 Summer Youth Jobs Contest! Since 2012, over 10,000 youth have participated. This July, The DollarWise Campaign will launch the contest for the eighth time, partnering with the Bank of America Foundation to bring innovative and accessible video content from BetterMoneyHabits.com, to serve as the contest curriculum.

THREE selected participants will win an iPad, Kindle, or an iPod for each of the SIX weeks of the contest! Raffles will be held every Friday at 5pm (ET) beginning July 5th, and ending August 9th. Mayors will be given the opportunity to present awards to winning youth in their cities. Please follow the directions below to register and qualify.

Directions:

Participating youth can go to BeDollarWise.org/syc to register for the Contest and complete each of the six modules. During the Contest, youth will be asked to complete the exercise questions of the week - every Friday from July 5th, until August 9th. Doing so will automatically enter their names into a drawing where three winners, nationally, will win an iPad, Kindle, or an iPod. Please note that each of the modules can be completed at any time before the date of each weekly raffle.

Summer Youth Jobs Contest Certificate:

After completing each of the six modules, youth will also have the opportunity to answer an additional set of financial education questions that will further test their knowledge on the Contest material. The final test will cover information provided in the Contest modules. All youth who score an 80% or higher on the quiz will receive an official certificate from The U.S. Conference of Mayors’ DollarWise Campaign showing that they have completed the program. Youth will only have TWO opportunities to complete the test, so go through the contest material carefully!
