The PICS Society: Why should you join?

1. We need a dedicated international pediatric/CHD interventional society. 2. We have small volumes and industry support is based on volume. An international society can

leverage some of the volume and demand. 3. Also, can conduct larger volume studies; be the central depository for data, international

registries and research to advance our field more quickly 4. International resource and expertise 5. Data would be useful for CPT coding and valuations (USA) 6. Advocacy advantages 7. Training of new fellows and junior faculty- crossbreeding of ideas 8. Society adds an academic, non-bias element—more credibility 9. Develop worldwide standards, guidelines and a Certification of CHD interventions. Current

efforts in HBD for Children with US and Japan FDA collaboration can expand to other countries 10. Fundraising advantages 11. International Think Tank 12. Humanitarian work --Frank F. Ing, MD, PICS Society Board Member
