John:17 Jesus Prays for Himself

1. When Jesus had finish saying all these things he looked up to heaven and said: Father the time has come”. Reveal the glory of your son so that he can give the glory back to you.

2. For you have given him authority over every man and woman in all the earth. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him.

3. And this is the way to have eternal life –by knowing you the only true god and Jesus Christ, the you sent to earth! 4. If I brought glory to you here on earth by doing everything you told me to. 5. And how Father, reveal my glory as I stand in your presence, the glory we shared before the world began.

6. I have told these men all about you. They were in the world but then you gave them to me. Actually, they were always yours, and you gave them to me; and they have obeyed you. 7. Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you. 8. For I have passed on to them the commands you gave me; and they accepted them ad know of a certainty that i came down to earth from you and they believe you sent me.

9. My plea is not for their world but those you have given me because they belong to you. 10. And all of them, since they are mine, belong to you; and you have given them back to me with everything else of yours, and so they are my glory! 11. Now I am leaving the world, and leaving them behind, and coming to you, Holy Father keep them in your own care- all those you have given me-so that they will be limited just as we our with none missing. 12. During my time have I have kept safe within your family all of these you gave me. I guarded them so that not one perished, except the son of hell, as the Scriptures for told.

13. And now I am coming to you. I have told them many things while I was with them so that they would be filled with my joy. 14. I have given them your commands. And the world hates them because they don’t fit in with it, just as i don’t. 15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to kept them safe from Satan’s power. 16 They are not part of this world any more than I am. 17 Make them pure and holy through teaching them your words of truth. 18 as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into to the world, 19 and I consecrate myself to melt their needs for growth in truth and holiness. 20 I am not praying for these alone but also the futures believe who were come to me because of the testimony of these. 21 my prayer for all of them is that they will be of one heart and mind, just as you and I are, Father-that just as you are in me believe you sent me. 22 I have given them the glory you gave-the glorious unity of being one, as we are-23 I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one-

so that the world will know you sent me and will understand that you love them as much as you love me. 24 Father, I want them with me – these you’ve given me-so that they can see my glory. You gave me the glory because you loved me before the world began.

25 O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. 26 and I have revealed you to them and will keep on revealing you so that the mighty love you have for me may be in them, and I in them.

Psalm 51 – A prayer of Forgiveness

Written after Nathan the prophet had come to inform David of God’s judgment against him because if his adultery with Bathsheba, and his murder of wish, her husband.

O loving and kind God have mercy. Have pity upon me and take away the awful stain of my transgressions. 2 oh, wash me cleanse me from this guilt. Let me be pure again. 3 For I admit my shameful deed-it haunts me day and night. 4 It is against you and you alone I sinned and did this terrible thing. You saw it all, and your sentence against me is just. 5 But I was born a sinner, yes from the moment my mother conceived me. 6 you deserve honesty from the heart, yes, letter sincerity and truthfulness. Oh, give me this wisdom. 7 Sprinkle I with the cleansing blood and I shall be clean again. Wash me and I shall be while than snow. 8 and after you punished me give me back my joy again. 9 Don’t keep looking at my sins-erase them from your sight. 10 create in me a new clean heart, O God filled with clean thoughts and right desire. 11 Don’t to as me aside, banished forever from you presence. Don’t take your Holy Spirit from you. 12 Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. 13 Then I will teach you ways to other sinners, and they-guilty like me-will repeat and return to you.14,15 Don’t sentence me to death. O my god, you alone can rescue me. Then I will sing of you forgiveness, for my lips will be unsealed-oh, how I will praise you. 16 You don’t want penance, if you did how gladly I would do it! You aren’t interested on offering burned before you on the altar. 17 It is a broken spirit you want-remorse and penitence’s a broken and a contrite heart. O God, you not ignore.

Isaiah 64 God is like a Potter

1 Oh that you would burst forth from the skies and come down; how mountains would quake in your presence! 2 The consuming fire it you glory would burn down the forest and boil the oceans dry. The nations would tremble before you, then you enemies would lead the reason for you fame! 3 So it was before when you came down, for you did awesome things beyond our highest expectations, and how the mountains quaked! 4 for since the world began no one has seen or heard of such a God as ours, who works for those who wait for him! 5 You welcome those who cheerfully do good, who follow up godly ways. But we are not godly; we are constant sinners and I have been all our lives. Therefore you wrath is heavy on us. How can such as we be saved? 6 We are all infected and impure with sin. When we put on our prized roles of righteousness, we find they are but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves we fade, wither and fall. And our sins, like the wind, sweep us away. 7 Yet no one calls your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins.

8 and yet, o Lord, you are father. We are the clay and you are the Potter. We are all formed by your hand. 9 Oh, be not so angry with us. Lord, nor forever remember our sins, Oh look and see that we are all your people. 10 You Holy cities are destroyed; Jerusalem is a desolate wilderness 11. Our Holy, beautiful temple where our destroyed. 12 after all of this, must you still refuse to help us, lord? Will you stand silent and still push us?

2 the Lord God asks. “ Sons of men, will you forever turn my glory into shame by worshipping these silly idols, when every claim that’s made for them is false?

3 Mark this well; the Lord has set apart the redeemed of himself. Therefore he will listen to me and answer when I call to him. 4 Stand before the Lord in owe, And do not sin against him. Lie quietly upon your bed in silent mediation. 5 Put your trust in the Lord, and offer him pleasing sacrifices.

6 Many say that God will never help us. Prove them wrong. O Lord, by letting the light of your face shine down upon us. 7 yes the gladness you have given me is for greater than thier joys at harvest time as the gaze at thier bountiful crops. 8 I will liedown in peace and sleep, for though I am alone, O Lord, you will keep me safe.

Take away my lust for the evil things; don’t let me wont to be with sinners, doing what they do, sharing their delicacies. 5 Let the godly smile me! It will be a kindness! If they reprove me, it is medicine! How I plead with god, how I implore his mercy, pouring, out my troubles before him. 3 For I am overwhelmed and desperate, and you alone know which way I ought to turn to miss the traps my enemies have set for me. 4 There’s one – just over there to the right, no one cares a bit what happens to me; 5 the I prayed to Jehovah “LORD ” I pled “you are my only place of refuge, Only you can keep me safe.6 Hear my cry, for I am very low, Rescue e from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.7 Bring me out of prison so that I can thank you. He frees the prisoners.8. And open the eyes of the blind; he left burdens from those bent down beneath their loads. Jonah 2-1:10

A big fish swallows Jonah

1 The Lord sent this message to Jonah, the son of Amittai 2 Go to the great city of Nineveh, and give this announcement from the Lord. I am going to destroy you for your wickedness rises before me, it smells to highest heaven. “ 3 but Jonah was afraid to go and ran away from the Lord. He went down to the seacoast, to the port of Joppa, where he found a shy leaving for tar shish. He bought a ticket, went on board, and climbed down into the dark hold of the ship to hide there from the Lord. 4 But as the ship was sailing along, suddenly the Lord flung a terrific wind over the sea, causing a great storm that threatened to send them to the bottom. 5 Fearing for their lives, the desperate sailors shouted to their Gods for help and threw the cargo over board to lighten the ship, and all this time Jonah was sound asleep down in the hold. 6 So the captain went down after him. “what do you mean, “ he roared, sleeping at a time like this? Get up and cry to you god and see if he will have mercy on us and save us! 7 The Crew decides to draw straws to see which of them had offended the gods and caused this terrible storm: and Jonah drew the short one. 8 What have you done, who are you? What is your work? What country are you from? What is your nationality? 9.10 and he said, I am a Jew; I worship Jehovah, the God of Heaven, who made the earth and sea. Then he told them he was running away from the Lord.

Roams 11:33-36

33 Oh, what a wonderful God we have! How great are his wisdom and knowledge and riches! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his method! 34 for who among us can know the mind of the Lord? Who knows enough to be his counselor and guide? 35 And who could ever offer to the Lord enough to induce him to act? 36 |For everything comes from god alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for his glory. To him is glory evermore.
