Aer losing the bale, Quixote and Panza come

upon an inn that Quixote mistakes for a castle.

There, they encounter a prostute/serving wench

named Aldonza. Aldonza has been denying her

dignity and beauty like the adulterous woman in

the Gospel of John 7:53-8:11 throughout her en-

re life. However Quixote begins to name her

‘Dulcinea’ instead of Aldonza. ‘Dulcinea’ means

‘Sweet Heart.’ I personally want to interpret it as

‘the beauful lady.’ Aldonza was healed and rec-

onciled herself by Quixote’s constant love and en-

couragement. She has finally accepted that she is

‘Dulcinea,’ Quixote constantly believing himself to

be a knight. Aldonza sll believes herself to be

Dulcinea.

Dear brothers and sisters, I constantly believe my-

self to be a knight of God. I was consecrated by

God’s love to serve His people, especially those

who are sick spiritually like Aldonza. I had ‘the im-

possible dream’ at the beginning in St. Paul. Now I

have ‘the possible dream’ through the brothers

and sisters of St. Paul.

Thank you for giving me great opportunies to

serve you for five years at St. Paul Church. I really

appreciate you and want to express all of you that

St. Paul is my first lover in my priesthood. Your

love will never fade away from my sincere heart.

And I believe that Jesus Christ would be my last

love if I was the knight of God. God bless you, Fr. Stefano Hong Your Don Quixote

A Letter from Fr. Stefano Hong Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I like to listen to the principal song “The Impossible

Dream”, in the musical “Man of La Mancha”. Man of

La Mancha IS A 1965 musical wrien by American

playwright Dale Wasserman. It is based on the life of

sixteenth-century Spanish writer Miguel de Cerve-

nates as well as his signature work, Don Quixote.

The book begins in

the late sixteenth

century as Cervan-

tes is stuck in a dun-

geon at the mercy of

the Spanish Inquisi-

on. Cervantes has

failed as a writer, a

soldier, an actor,

and a tax collector. Along with his manservant, Cer-

vantes has been imprisoned for foreclosing on a

monastery as part of his dues as a tax collector.

One day Cervantes dresses himself up as a character

named Don Quixote of La Mancha, a man who’s read

so many books about chivalry that he believes him-

self to be a knight. He has a squire named Sancho

Panza. These developments are taken directly from

the real-life Cervantes’ novel, Don Quixote. Quixote

tells Panza they must be careful not to encounter an

evil nemesis named the Enchanter. Quixote aacks a

windmill, mistakenly believing it to be a four-headed

dragon. Even though it’s just a windmill and not a

dragon, Quixote loses the bale aer geng

bludgeoned repeatedly by the movements of the

wind.

St. Paul’s Respect Life Ministry, along with generous donaons from the Knights of Co-lumbus and PC Richards, were able to assist an expectant mother in a very challenging living situaon with the purchase of a maress and bed frame. The situaon was brought to our aenon by the Archdioce-san Respect Life Office.

* * * “The acceptance of aboron in the popular mind, in behavior and even in law itself, is a telling sign of an extremely dangerous crisis of the moral sense, which is becoming more and more incapable of disnguishing be-tween good and evil, even when the funda-mental right to life is at stake” Pope St. John Paul II (Evangelium Vitae/The Gospel of Life, 58)

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION First Friday Eucharistic Adoration will

next be held on Friday, July 5th from 7-8pm.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Is an essential way of being with the Lord in the sacred Host JESUS IS PRESENT … Only by adoring this presence do we learn how to receive Him properly – we learn the reality of communion, we learn the Eucharistic celebration from the inside.

LET US LOVE BEING WITH THE LORD! There we can speak with Him about everything. We can offer Him our petitions, our concern, our troubles. Our joys, our gratitude, our disappointments, our needs and our aspirations. There we can also constantly ask him: “Lord send laborers to Your harvest! Help me to be a good worker in Your vineyard!” --Benedict XVI

Academy of St Paul is our parish school! Make a Catholic education a priority for your family.

The Pre-K 4 and Fourth Grade enjoyed some special time together! They soaked up the sunshine, talked, played with bubbles, and drew pictures with chalk. It was a

lovely way to end a happy year as Buddies!

We’re brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, inde-

pendent people. We tend to think that if we ask for

help, it is a sign of weakness. So we try to keep our

struggles hidden and are reluctant to ask for help.

However, that’s not God’s plan. Galatians 6:2 says,

“Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law

of Christ.” God wants us to care for others—and

allow others to care for us in our time of need. If

you’re grieving or sad or struggling with a difficult

situation in life, don’t suffer alone. Ask for help.

Here at St. Paul's we have a team of Stephen Minis-

ters who are ready to listen, care, encourage, pray,

and help you through a tough time while maintain-

ing confidentiality. Find out more about Stephen

Ministry by contacting Anne Palladino at an-

[email protected] or calling the Parish

Center at (201) 327-0976.

NEXT BOOK FOR ST PAUL BOOK CLUB!!! COME AND JOIN our parish Book Club. The next book we will be reading is "Mary, Called Magdalene" by Margaret George We will discuss the book in it's entirely on Tuesday July 30th at 7:30 in the Rectory Was Mary Magdalene a prostitute, a female divinity figure, a church leader, or all of those? Biblical refer-ences to her are tantalizingly brief, but we do know that she was the first person to whom the risen Christ appeared—and the one commissioned to tell others the good news, earning her the ancient honorific, “Apostle to the Apostles.” Today, Mary continues to spark controversy, curiosity, and veneration. In a vivid re-creation of Mary Magdalene's life story, Margaret George convincingly captures this renowned woman's voice as she moves from girlhood to womanhood, becomes part of the circle of disciples, and comes to grips with the divine. While grounded in biblical scholarship and secular research, Mary, Called Mag-dalene ultimately transcends both history and fiction to become a “diary of a soul.”
