Career History

I began my career in the mortgage industry in 1991 as a loan originator who worked with manufactured

home builders providing pre-qualifications and take out loans. When Countrywide sold the

manufactured home division in 1994 they moved me very briefly to the customer service division where

I created a portfolio retention unit focused on refinancing and providing home equity lines to existing

customers. Our marketing efforts expanded to include solicitations to customers looking to build new

primary residences or second homes.

Because of my experience with builders, developers and their borrowers, I was asked to establish a new

construction lending product and process. Working with partners in secondary marketing, legal,

compliance, servicing, and technology we created the single close program at Countrywide in 1998.

Prior to the mortgage crisis of 2008 we were the largest originator of new construction transactions with

volume of $4.5B annually.

After the mortgage crash I was responsible for all loss mitigation efforts of the construction and lot

portfolios of the combined Bank of America and Countrywide portfolios. I remained in that position

until asked to build a new construction platform from the ground up at PrimeLending.
